seem to have a issue with my vtx10 and 8.5. For some reason after I hit a big jump and landed it would lose power for about 4 seconds or so but still would have steering. When it would get going again it was like cogging. But would clear its self up. But if I landed hard again it would happen again. Only thing I did different was I changed to practice mode and raised my LVC to 7.0 or 3.5 per cell. I checked the battery and it had 3.85 per cell left. It was hot outside but the esc and motor didnt seem very warm to the touch, was running it in a 22 buggy with the stock spur geared with a 23 pinion. Suggestions?

Side not, I am replacing sensor wires like crazy. I have tried the soft super flex, the flat ribbon style and the stiffer wire with pvc shields and none last as long as I would like. I secure them to keep them from flopping around, but its still an issue. Thoughts?

maybe cogging is the wrong word. At first I thought something blew in the tranny just because it was making a strange sound and was hesitating. But after a few seconds it would be good again. I will check the sensor wire the next time I run it

Tony, lower the LVC back down. Your too high. It may should like a good idea, but the cut off actually happens to start before you get to that number. The system takes power from the motor to compensate for the spike and it cause the motor to "chug". Lower the LVC put off number, you can technically go a little lower, because that kick in will happen about 6.4 giving you time to stop, if you even get to run close to it.

I have a friend I brought into rc racing and picked up a B4.1 with a Viper VTX10R and VST 13.5, Savox 1258, Airtonics M11 2.4, and 40c lipos. Went through the whole buggy and he's been racing it and loving it. But here is the problem, on hard impacts it cuts out and just has steering. Then it has to be turned on and off to resume racing. On/off flashes when this happens. Everything is in perfect condition. I dont own a Viper esc and dont know anyone with the same issue. Is this a simple fix? Sensor wire is fine and sensor board is fine. Nothing loose and solder connections fine. I searched and found answers ranging from sensor cable to low temp cut-off. Temp cut is at 200/200. Its never temped above 150 on either. It doesnt matter if its the beginning or end of a race, a big hit will cut out drive power.
This is exactly my problem also...to the letter. I have the viper/copperhead 4500 combo. Sensorless so the wire isn't the problem. You turn it off then on and its fine. No wiggling wires, or touching anything but the switch.
I ran three heat races this last Saturday and had a shutdown in each race.
I just loaded up and took my junk home...lol
Do you have any updated info on this problem?
Thanks

Graveyard - PM your settings from the ProGauge/EZ Link.
The Copperhead system is high draw 4 pole system. Its a monster - you even hear it when it starts up!!! If you have a loose bullet connector like meyankee said, that could cause a cut off. Depending on the strength on your battery, that could cause a cut off. So there are a few variables involved.
But send me your settings, we can work with them as well.

I don't know guys...the wires seem tight and I have everything with a small amount of slack. Nothing binding or anything. As far as the batteries, each time last Saturday was with a different battery.
Also, what is the high speed setting on the radio? I'm using a spektrum dx3s with a telemetry rx.
Thanks

out of curiosity, do you have the radio set up on the high speed settings? If so, try turning that off. I know one of the other guys was running the 4pk with the high speed settings and it acted goofy like this. He got an M12 and same thing. It's something in the way the radio works with that super high speed setting.
What are these settings your speaking of? I'm using a spektrum dx3s and a 3100 rx I think. The one with telemetry ,although I haven't been using the
telemetry part .
