Team,
Could anyone recommend boost settings for a 10.5? I usually run a 7.5 on our high bite clay layout but the new layout is more technical and i have no use for the 7.5 besides going faster towards breaking parts. When i ran tekin, i used boost with a 10.5 but is there boost on the viper? Is it motor power?
Thanks,

start with gearing down a few teeth. put the esc in race open mode. add some acceleration and top speed timing, start low to start with 15º each, slew rate low as well maybe 3. Start rpm around 6000, finish around 19800. test it out, see where you want more adjustment - bottom end, maybe top. Every driver likes it a little different, so you are going to have to test a little to see. As always keep an eye on temps to be sure (both motor and esc).

Hello
Need quick help for 17.5T and vtx-10R. I miss top speed. Now I am running it in Team-c tm2 buggy gears 26/85, esc profile 5 and have 170-180 F on motor. I have good grip on track. Can somebody help with VTX-10R setup and what timing on motor should I use? By the way ESC on Blinking mode.
Thanks

I just put a Viper in my Tekno for the DNC. Hopefully it fairs better than the pics above. I thought servo horn too. My speedo is rotated 90 degrees CCW from your position.
Best of luck. Viper.....please keep us posted regarding possible causes. The product looks solid but it doesn't seem like there is a lot of support for this speedo yet (team driver's setups, etc).

The VTX1 has the added function of running on a 1s battery. Its slightly lighter than the VTX10 series. Runs on the same exact software, as all of the other VTX's.
As for the BECs they are really quite similar. Just wired different - so you have mounting options. Some don't mind external caps and others like the way the package fits in a car.

I was adjusting a few things on my VTX8 through the pro gauge and while in the BEC menu I noticed that the pro gauge allows you to adjust it up to 8.0v. Now everything I've read about the VTX8 says it has an adjustable BEC up to 7.0v. Anyone have any insight on this ? Is it safe for the ESC to run the BEC at 8.0v ? (I run KO RSx power servo)

Redo B. See how it's dull compared to the other two? That's a cold solder joint compared to a hot joint. Definitely looks like you are getting the hang of it though.
Now when you 'redo' it, make sure you remove the wire, then remove as much of the built up solder from the tab and the wire as you can and start over. Re tin it and you should be good to go. Remember to keep the tip of the iron clean and let it heat back up each time after you clean it.

And for the soldering iron. Weller makes really good soldering irons. In fact, I ordered a Weller W101 with an optional 3.2mm tip earlier today
Not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for...

I don't know how the Tekno SCT410 is designed but I would suspect there was a spring loaded servo saver mechanism in the right steering post. If the servo saver was trigger it is more than likely the servo the arm would hit the soldering posts/wires.

The servo saver arm sits at least 15 mm above any solder posts.... he used a HB or serpent arm which sites much higher than a standard servo arm... I saw his car, and I think it was a case of bad luck.
