I'm running a losi esc and novak 13.5. It's good for the local tight track. I just ordered a novak ss pro 10.5. I think I could use the extra power for a more open track. The calibers have the 13.5 pretty well tamed.

I cant cheat, I own the track and set the rules.:p:D
I run 13.5BL/19T class for corr trucks.
Extra weight sucks on my track, you get more forward bite, but loose the twitchiness of the truck and you need that for my technical tracks. 2 different SC10s and 2 different drivers and we both agree the lighter the truck the better it is.

Quick question, if you was going to pick one of the stock motors which would it be?

I'd say the hpi or associated. They are both made for the 2.6 tranny ratio. The hpi has abuilt in fan which helps with temps. The associated works great you just need to watch the temps closely and find the right ratio for track size and conditions. The traxxas is good but I think its in between pinion gears for the 2.6 ratio transmissions.

Diff Question

I'm building up my SC10 and am wondering if most are running the gear diff or a ball diff, what are the pro's and cons of each. i will be running on multiple surfaces from carpet, clay and dirt. if you are running a ball diff what additional parts are needed.

thanks
