anyways it seems like there is a gear clicking i cant tell if its the slipper slipping or not... it dose not sound like my old t3 did. anyways just looking for some imput for a new sc10 owner. i guess i can tear into the trans. :(

It's probably the planetary gears in the diff. You can do 2 things: Contact AE and get the extra shims and install (no cost option). Or toss out the junk diff and get a ball diff (cost $35). Depends on what you want to do. Race or bash? Bash, get shims. Race, get ball diff.

the ball diff is out of price range right now.

waiting on some gear to sell, to order some stuff.
no wonder why the guy i got it from included a gear diff rebuild that thing was toast replaced all the gears inside the diff, she runs like butta now!

Anyone know the part number to the ball diff and if it will fit in the stock trans housing
Also how do you bleed those shocks, no matter what I do I cant get all the air out of them.
Anything else have problems with the SC10?? I just got one and its my first electric off-road.

One more thing, my right dogbone fell out everytime I gased it on the bench, I put a fat boy oring in the outdrive on the diff and it ran fine after that, cant find anything I put together wrong so that was my fix.

U need new cases as well as new outdrive bearings. Everything else is the same. Except of course the ball diff kit.

I have a few transmissions if you want to buy a complete used tranny. In good shape still. $40

MIP now makes a straight drop-in diff. It's $35 at Towerhobbies.com. I would also suggest getting the CVDs as well. Part #09130 (MIP DIFF) and #09128 (MIP CVDs).

cvds might be an option for me soon.. have not had a problem with the dogbone yet..
but i dropped 5000wt diff oil in my gear diff seems to be PERFECT with the brushless. in the dirt, i will have to loosen the slipper a bit.

gear diff is fine for me. I just made a order today to spice up my already great sc10. Got the ft shock bodies and the new battery strap. Needed the shock bodies as my bodies were worn in the inside lol.

i like mine too now that i filled it with oil instead of just greasing the gears.
i am sure thats what stripped the last gears from the other owner.
