just making sure that the jconcepts rulux wheels can be used with goosebump and bowtie tires, can anyone confirm that they fit? ;)

Does anyone else make a 2.2/3.0 bead lock wheel for the sc10 other than proline. I want something i can use any tire with and not be limited to proline only tires..

They will not work unless you make some modifications. The GT2 hubs requires you to also use the PINS and the A-ARMS from the GT2. then a new bearing and also you will need to re-drill the arms and mount the shocks to the front of the shock tower.

If it were me. Just buy some AL rear hubs and be done with the headache. Or use the Team Losi ones and re-drill your arms.

I use the relux wheels with my Bowties. Just mount them up first and let them sit in the groove for a bit before you go onto gluing them.

Hey Zach, the Gt2 hubs have a different offset, requiring longer dogbones or some ingenuity to make them work. The b44 hubs are a direct fit other than different bearings and crush tube, but they are not avail in a different offset. I am assuming you are looking for the 2* toe in. Either the Racers Edge Hard Anodized 1° Rear Hub Carrier
or contact this man and buy the steel block

i used gt2 hubs and no issues with the driveshafts. they worked fine, you just have to make sure you install them on the correct side as they 'look' like they are on backwards when put on correctly.

Just a note/tip for anyone wanting to use the stronger RPM front arms...
Because of the way the RPM arms hold in the outer hinge pins, you have to either get shorter outer hinge pins or do like I did and grind down your titanium hinge pins ~1/16"

dont forget shave of the shock mounts and drill holes in the arms to mount the shocks.

Have not broken since day one though.

Well I had my first race night with the SC10 tonight. Qualified 3rd for the A-Main but finished 5th or something due to me getting a bit nervous and pushing it too hard. Not bad though, considering it was my first offroad race ever. So thanks guys for all the setup advice, I really appreciate it.

One more question while I'm at it.. does anyone here use a titan 12t by chance? I'm told the reedy motor is more powerful but also wears out faster.. Can't decide which one I should run. Thoughts?

That's a normal first race. I didn't get fifth in the A main at my first race though. I seem to finish very well when I drive slower and don't crash or get stuck on pipes...

If you are going to use the Titan 12t, you should use the stock traxxas speed control as well. The reedy 17t seems faster, but I don't know power numbers for either. I've heard of many reedys melting, but never heard of a Titan melting. I ran my reedy for a few months, but I took it apart and cleaned it completely after each race I did. It hit 220-240F a few times....

I run mine with the Titan and XL-5, had to take the metal sleeve off the can. It seems as fast as anything in the class. I haven't tried the Reedy motor but if it's any indication they were hard to get a hold of, meaning they were burning up.
