80wt is way to high for any track...that kinda weight is more reserved for on-road. You might as well use Karo Syrup.

Try 35wt front with silver springs....40wt rear with green springs.

It is actually being run on a carpet track for both oval and road racing until the snow melts. The road course has a couple of jumps but they are small. That is also the track that says the suspension has to stay stock. Changing springs is not allowed with this group, and is why I have been trying the thicker oil. When I ran it with the lighter oil the problem seemed worse. What else can I try?

Have yout tried putting lowering the suspension by putting a limiter like fuel tubing inside the shock shaft maybe 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch long. I that doesn't work put a thicker oil inside the diff. I would start a 5000k and go from there. With this set up you can probably stay with stock shock oil, heavier oil I think will make the shocks react slower and can cause the diff out in the corner due to slower rebound.
Some might have a different view on this but this what worked for me in the past.
i would reccomend rear sway bars if you are allowed to use it.

good luck and keep us posted.

Do you mean putting it inside the shock body so the shaft doesn't fully extend??

yes you put it inside it makes for less droop in the suspension

Anyone else notice the shortage of Factory Team parts for the SC10? Hinge pins, bleeder shocks, motor mounts, etc. are all on back order. I wonder if this is a sign that they are putting together Factory Team kits?

T-BirdJunkie 01-29-2010 09:59 PM

Probably just a sign that the people with SC10s, B4 Team/RTR and T4 Team/RTRs are buying those parts :p

I like the idea of not having to worry about popping a ball cup but do these ends limit travel/range of motion?

Are these the ends you used? http://www.rcplanet.com/Dubro_Heavy_...s_p/dub900.htm
