what would it have that u cant get now? u can run ti turnbuckles, ball diffs...put ceramic balls in it, CVD's, carbon fiber battery hold down, carbon chassis pieces, ceramic bearings. what more do you need???

Another racer that races with me, great pit guy for nitro, got a SC10 used and it had weight in the triangles in front of the back tires and on the front skid plate. I have noticed my truck is great on a hooked up surface, but get a little loose stuff on the track and it cant find traction anywhere. I just wonder if some weight would help that. I havent ever messed with weights before and I dont understand when to use it and where to put it.

well have fun mounting your bumper brace with a t4 tower...just trying to state that it is not the same and close enough is still not correct

Far cheaper to buy a real FT kit than to piece one together. I did a quick price check though tower and it would cost way over $400 to piece together a FT truck. A real FT SC10 kit from AE would probably cost $235. Its time for AE to release a FT SC10....they made their killin already selling overpriced upgrades.

regarding weight

At one point I have 6oz in my truck. I think I am down to 4oz now and it is great. The truck jumps a million times better and doesnt turn into a sail when it gets air-born.

where are yal puting the weight??????

micrors4guy 11-04-2009 07:30 AM

i have 1 oz. of weight in the rear of my car. I also have the battery moved all the way back. I am thinking about putting 3/4 oz. in the front of the car to get the front end to stay a little more planted since i run an 8.5.

Mine is on the chassis under the battery foam. with the battery all the way front.

I have 1/2 oz stuck on the steering servo. And that's it. No weights in the back expect the esc mounted on the battery foam, battery is up front. Works pretty good. But I want to experiment with another 1/2 oz in the front (probably don't need it). It hooks up really good. But the front seems to be a little light to me.
