hey, I'm sure this is earlier, but I have a question about the diff. I have an RTR, it's clicking/grinding and I've just found all the info about it. I didn't receive the shims with my RTR either (which they're suppose to have). I've pulled apart the diff and inspected the planetry gears and other gears, all seems ok - is this the problem still? or do people notice wear on their gears? Also, are people happy with the T4 diff in the SC10?

sorry if it's already been answered and thanks in advance

When I get a chance to run mine again, I will let yal know how my weight trials work. I am just trying to keep the rear end planted under power out of a corner. The rest works really well until the shocks start loosing oil. The shocks just stink on this truck.

i got my shocks figured out they were leaking because the shocks shafts were too small in diameter they were at like 3.02 and 2.99 all four corners and they are the ft shocks shafts. ive had them in for little over 3 months and have leaked since about the 10th run on them. now was leaking every 2-3 runs. so ae told me that the shock shafts should be 3.20 3.19 or close...... also those mud guards on the sides are usually custom made i made some for mine with old lexan from bodies ive painted. also jconcepts and proline both make some kind of body tray if havent seen them yet thnx Will G

by the way i have set of calibers on the way should have them today or tomorrow and i will be running 2 different tracks i will advise how they work next week

building a SC10 for the 17.5 spec class.

What kind of pinion/spurs are you running? The gears recommended in the AE manual sound odd.

Are there team setups on the AE website for the sc10, I can't seem to find any?

26/75 is a great starting place for the 17.5 brushless system..
are you going tekin/novak/or lrp?

you will need to rebuild that rear diff. mine was doing the same thing and the gears seemed to be ok but there was like 2 or 3 teeth that wor worn down just a bit.

I ran a set of Calibers last night front and rear on a hard packed clay track and my SC10 has never been so hooked up.

Found my new tire for sure

I made my splash guards before they come out with the chassis cover. I put on some velcro on the side ,& now I use the Jconcepts cover to protect my stuff.

Did you do the rear losi hub conversion?

R-E-A-P-E-R- 11-05-2009 05:30 PM

cool bud, now you can see them. Thats a pretty good idea. I want one of those JC chassis protector lid they have. That thing is sweet

JPMSRacing 11-05-2009 07:02 PM

Yea, that JConcepts cover was cool enough that I finally had a reason to fill out a JConcepts $25 Cert. I won at a RC Pro Race this summer. So 6weeks from now I might get a cover????? Pro-Line got me a body on a cert. in 2 weeks, so we will have to see how they compare.

JPMSRacing 11-05-2009 07:05 PM

I am going to through this out there,
racing shortcourse trucks, what is the coolest obsticle???? Big air, rythem jumps, give me some ideas so I can incorp. them into my BY track.

let us know the track surface temp and what type of track surface if you can and what compound of tire. I have been looking at those tires too.
Since the indoor track in another town outlaws the new AKA tires because of the rim style, they dont look right by the track rules. Personally I am a strong AKA fan, nothing hooked up on my Jammin X2 like AKA tires, most Pro-line tires just blew on that car, AKA tires made my fast lap times consistant and I do contribute my TQ's and top 3 finishes at the big races in the state to those tires this last summer.
