The first diff i filled with silicone oil that comes in the kit, and the second one i filled with associated black grease.
Which silicone oil shocks are you running? and which springs? my track is very flat with just a couple of jumps, it is a 1/8 tt truck and i need lot of top end speed

I am probably alone in my setup. But I use 10k in the diff and gold springs and goose bumps. You guys may laugh, but it works. :)

I would change the diff case just to eliminate the possibility that it is too wide.

10,000K diff fluid, WOW

You have a diff locker back there, You must like it have your truck punch threw every corner huh.

I tried 1000 before and half way threw a race it would heat up and totally change the way the truck drove. Now I have the standard blk grease AE says to put in there and it really works the best. AE has been building cars alot longer than most. Dont try and tweek it too much.

10,000 Diff fluid, I dont even run anything that thick in a my 1/18 scales

You live in Denver, I live in Houston. Anything lighter breaks down quick on a summer day. AE never tested their "grease" here I bet.

I have no problems on the track running with and even beating other SC10's and Slashes.

I am not saying I am right or wrong, I just know what works for me.

I am not sure what that's means, but I am not here to argue with you.
I never asked for any advice. And I stated that I was neither right nor wrong. It just works for me.

You told me black grease works for you. I congratulated you.

10k isnt that thick. i didnt know 1/18 uses oil in there diffs. besides, 1/8 uses up to 30k in some conditions. mine isnt locked with 10k, its not any thicker that the black grease, it is more consident than the grease.

well OCRC has changed their track and my setup is much different now. went back to stiffer setup because of the large jumps and smooth surface.

here is a video of the new layout. i like it alot.

I never have weekends free, so myself and a few others meet up on Wednesday's when they are open for practice. Was planning on going this week, but the rain today messed that all up. I hate mud and they never dry the track for practice.

You should meet us up there if you can get away during the week.

There's a new track opening in Houston too!
