Yeah will have to get the bearings as well. I couldnt wait for the 1 deg. The 1/2 deg with the cheddabob machined 4 deg rear toe in mount will be perfect adding a total of 1.5 deg of toe-in to the rear (and some weight)

Didn't like the idea of the Losi 1 degree hubs?
No bearing change just the hinge pins.
Been runnin the Losi for a few weeks and no problems.
Thinkin about tryin Losi's 2 degree hub too just cuz it fits.

I have a set of 2deg if you want to borrow them. I took them out and have 1 deg in mine right now.

Did they make any difference?
I still think the biggest change was the cut tires.

I borrowed a set of cut tires before putting the 1 degrees in and it felt good but I didn't have the tires for more than 1 race.
When I cut my own tires I also put the 1 degrees on so I really didn't test just hubs or just tires for very long, it was a combo deal and my truck is really good right now.

Just wondering if 2 degrees would be even more dialed.

And thanks for the offer, might be worth tryin.

I have not ran my trucks anywhere else but at my track at home.
My track goes from high traction when damp to dusty/loamy as it dries and i felt good with the 2 deg hub and stock tires
My sons trucks has 1deg hubs with cut tires and his truck rocks so depending on track surface the 2 deg hub might give you a little more forward bite in loose cond.
I should of done what you said and put his cut tires on my rig but i just put 1deg hubs on and i was going to groove my tires.

Like i said i can let you try them, I can give them to KidAgain or just make a trip to OCRC to check it out.

You gotta get down there, too much fun.
Just sign up and race, free turnmarshals that way!

If you wanna send em down I'd surely try em but they are pretty cheap and I'd buy a set just cuz.

im also interested in doing the losi rear hub upgrade with the
1/2 deg hubs 9807/9808
hinge pins 6088
losi crush tubes
will these work with the gt2 arms aswell or will i need some other bits

Why buy Losi when you can do this.
T4/SC10/B44 rear hubs

You will need a bigger outer bearing thou.

Only problem I've seen with the racers edge hubs is the ball studs work loose and snap the ball studs off really easy. And its a !@$# to get them out. Personally with a 17.5 I don't think its necessary.

I have never had one break in the back but I can see how that would suck...

dgdcustoms 06-11-2009 07:27 AM

yeah ive seen a few of the losi cr hubs with broken ball studs in them.i dont think i would want aluminum hubs on my truck for just that reason.if you do break a ball stud you almost need to buy new hubs too.thats just my 2 cents worth.

Stealth ball diff + Losi 2 degree + cut stock tires + 8.5 = good (rear stabalizer)

Stealth ball diff + Losi 2 degree + goosebumps + 8.5 = best (rear stabalizer)

Stealth ball diff + Losi 2 degree + new era 17mm wheel adapter + AKA city block buggy tires + MM/Velinium motor = Slash Project Killer...(rear stabalizer)

Took my slash and down graded it back to "Box Stock" to race in spec class...

Losi 1 or 2 degree hubs $7
Losi hinge pins $2
Total $9
Having Losi stuff on your AE...PRICELESS!

Racer's Edge hubs $26 plus shipping
New bigger bearings $?
Total=a lot more $

Why not go Losi?

balistic 06-11-2009 10:48 AM

I know this may be a stupid question but the Losi hub deal, are we adding 2 degrees of toe in to what the rear has or taking it away?

If it's adding 2 degrees what is the total toe in? Or is it 2 on each side?
