What's going to be the best software version to run no-timing 17.5 in on the 2.1 ProStock?

Default Questions on Silver Arrow V2.0

Just bought a Silver Arrow V2.0 and really excited to run the ESC at the track. Most people running Tekins or Mamba monster, but decided to go a cheaper route. Bassed on the reviews sounds like Silver Arrow will work just as good or better. I have a couple question on programming of the ESC. Is there any way to disable the Over heat protection? I tried disabling on the ESC, with LCD program card, and finally using V1.33 software on computer. The item is greyed out on V1.33 and V1.32 I tried both. Also, is there way to replace the cooling fan on top? Looks like the fan will break over time.

I got a SAII after my RX8 melted. At that price I couldn't pass it up. It does not have the grunt that the RX8 has but it is smooth and easy to drive. I like it and would buy another if I had to do it over again. As for the fan, the easy solution would be to cut the wires close to the worn out fan and add a connector of your choice, then add that same connector to the new fan.

I have no idea on how to disable the thermal protection...

I just got my silver arrow in the mail today..1st thing I did was hook up the batt packs to setup...The esc comes on but it does notgive a signal on my computer?...I am using the hobbywing lcd box..That same box works on my GT series esc's..Do I need to have it hooked up to a motor? Or my radio?

Are you sure it should be powered by the battery and not from the computer? Most esc's should not be powered when hooked up to a pc?

So can anyone who's used the SA 2.0 say whether they needed to us an external bec, or capacitors etc?

Haven’t needed a capacitor or BEC on a Silver Arrow V2, with 4S, Tekin 1700Kv, Hitec 7945 on steering, and a Spektrum 3100 Rx. Seems rock solid.

Never had an issue with overheating, so no idea on turning protection off. Or whether it even has it for that matter.

Never tried messing with the firmware either, but for what it’s worth the GT series do require the RC battery for the PC interface. No idea on the motor hookup and radio calibration, never tried without, but again only on a GT.

I just posted a couple of GT 2.0 pro carbon esc's for sale. One is new, the other is open and updated to 428, never used on a car.

Spektrum DX3E
Spektrum SR300
Savox 1265tg
Tenshock x812 2150kv
4s 5000mah/55C

No external BEC but I do have to run a cap on the RX.

I'm a bit confused about the range of MMM motors. The website shows motors ranging from 3.5-5.5T and then 10.5-21.5T. Why aren't there 6.5-9.5T motors? It doesn't seem to be a matter of what's in stock since other items are shown despite being out of stock. Aren't 6.5-9.5T some of the most popular motors, especially for offroad classes?

I can't answer as to why, but I use the v3 motors in my offroad vehicles anyway. No need for more timing in the sensor board for offroad. And they are only $55 too. So I say, just get those. They are great motors.
