Well, lets see if anybody can help me out here, I might just be an electric noob..

I just picked up a speed passion ESC/motor (stock club race and 17.5R) and I'm having a few issues. It works and will drive forward, but only forward. I have no brake and no reverse. Every time I try configuring the throttle it just stops working entirely for a few minutes or until whenever it decides to work.

Also, it does not seem to work if I have the sensor wire connected, no matter what.

Any tips?

Does Speed Passion have any ESC that will handle a 4 turn, 4 pole motor such as the Tekin Pro4 4600? I'm trying to decide what ESC to get after frying my previous ESC the first time out with the Pro4.

i hope the new 1/8th motors are alot better then the current line up. i have two of them and both had issue right out of the box, such as the can screws always come un done. and they run hot because they are not true 1/8 motors.

GT2 PRO version is your only option.

Yes....550 SCT 4x4 version, 4600kv......Jorn Neuman testing it, he used the new BLAZE motor and TQ/WON the JConcept Clash Event on 1/8th and 4WD. He cannot use it on 4x4 because it is a prototype motor so he didn't race that event.

Testing a faster one now in Germany...we have about 5 different speed but will only make 2 of the best.

It was also testing on Losi SCTE...so it will fit your AE easy.

Size is very much like a longer version of the MMM motor. 550 size or 540L size or whatever that thing called.

Default Need some insight on SP!!

I just got a used XXX-T CR roller and need a decent motor / ESC combo that won't break the bank. I'm going to be running Stock and the track parameter is 13.5T brushless and above. What can you recommend? Would the "Stock Club Race" work well?

Also, what pinion / gear would you run as well?

Any insight is welcome,

Thanks!

my sons xxxt cr has a stock club spec with 17.5 and it geared 25 86, its pretty quick....temps are pretty low down in the 100 range...i could go up at least 2 more teeth to get some more power in it

for a 13.5 id go around 23-24 .......i try to keep my sons truck pretty mild

Do you think I should run a 17.5 instead? Or would the 13.5T fit my needs just as well? What tooth spur is he running? I'll be ok with the spur in it?

I'm pretty new to this whole thing so I'm kinda learning as I go..

Thanks

to start i would go 17.5 that gives you a chance to learn car control and learn setup changes

i run 86 tooth spur in all my trucks and short course...i could go to a smaller spur but feels it kills the bettom end feel of the motor
