Like above mentioned try the 7.5 restrictor, and put the top and bottom flush and retune. try another pipe, I bet you have the 9901 on it.

no obv im not him but i had easton try to tune the engine and still no luck.. started the needles at flush.. besides its not my first engine.. my bonito runs awesome and i tuned that..

i will try the bigger restrictor.. and yes the 9901.. what pipe do you suggest?

why is it my budddy has the same engine with the same pipe restrictor and all other things the same and his screams?

Also is the amount of fuel through the engines the same? Noticed the BTT doesn't "wake up" for nearly two gallons. Then it starts really pulling on top.

I thought same thing of mine and one I broke in for a friend, we needed them modded to get some power. But like I said, they just woke up and doing good now.

Can someone please tell me the part # or link on Amain to the Novarossi ceramic bearings for the Bonito? My paper that came with it says 16004 but that does not pull up on Amain, yet other part #'s do. Also this paper says nothing about the size of the bearings. I would like to buy a front and rear replacement.
Thanks

Default Wake up

Can ne one tell me when the Roma really wakes up. Most other novarossi's seam to be around two gallons. Is this the same for the Roma's.

I switched from Sidewinder Stryke fuel to Byrons this weekend and the difference in my BTT is night and day. Still not like it should be on top, but I don't have 2 gallons through it yet either.
Neal was 100% correct on the fuel. I was just to hard headed to change before.

easiest thing to use and alot of guys would have them in there tool box
a small cable tie! check it with calipers then you can even trim the end with some side cutters and it will fit in there perfect without any damage

I found one of my GF's sewing pins. Found a pin at .7mm and .55mm. I put a tab with each mesurement.

Default Shim

Just got a Tuned BTT4 and they say it is shimmed for 25%. Does it need reshimmed for 30%? Recommended amount of shim thickness?

TIA!!

It will run fine on the 30% with stock shims. Just break in with Byron's 30/11 minimum or add some lube booster if less then 11% oil. Castor oil is good.

When you guys are setting the idle gap with the cable ties or sewing needles are you leaving the carb insert in or out ?
