Oh yes. Forgot about them. Are you referring to 808347?

I think the ones that were the same as the ones used on the 710 was suppose to be used with FC steering blocks on the 705...

Hmm, judging by what happened at the weekend, I think I may well have mixed them up

Of course, yes - it was so long ago since I used the non-FC blocks that I'd forgotten about that.

Disillusioned? A sure tell tale of someone who's too intoxicated by the power of the RING...

Ok what I have found is:

All of them where using Ellegi 40 F / 40 R
All of them where using 65mm front & 65mm rear from the box

Their gearing was different
JP FX was using 55 / 22 - 60 / 16

Sirio was using 56/22 – 60 / 16

The last one was using 56/22 – 60 / 17

It seems to work fine. I used it at a club race over the weekend and had no problems. We did have 1 bad receiver. I have heard that there has been some problems with the button... some have not been working. I did notice some hesitation while playing with it in the pits when turning back and forth while throttling (quickly) but I didn't notice anything while on the track.

Actually my setup is virtually identical to that which Pyramid posted a week or two ago:

Parts:
Yellow clutch shoe
1.8mm pre-tension spring.
Black clutch shoe cut up as the flyweights

Settings:
0.5mm clutch gap
0.2mm endplay
2.1mm pre-tension

Rene did all the tuning of the pre-tension by observing how my car performed - he can see and hear when it is correct. He does the same in tuning the engine.

I really can't say how to do this, I wouldn't be able to do it myself anywhere near as good as Rene and I couldn't really observe Rene doing the work, as I was on the driver stand.

Cheers, Mark.
