Its weird. I haven't seen or heard much about the tanks in a while. And never experienced it.this is my 2nd rc8t too.. I noticed some guys mod the tank brackets and use screws. I wonder if that helps or hurts it..

but, is it fine that one side of the pin is in more that the other or having the clip on it push it to have even sides ?
So you saved a few bucks by ordering online. But you are spending a ton of time on here asking questions that could be sorted out at the LHS. Doesn't seem like a good tradeoff.

Hmm. The pins do have flats in the pics. And I think you could use a set screw if you wanted to

see im not the only one i did see some treads inside of the coupler so a set screw can be used i rather not have to use it though.

my man welcome to associated, and a congatulations to his son 'gunnar' for picking up a well deserved AE ride after motorama.. gunnar is a 13 year old pro who can run and did run with best at motorama this year and team AE scooped him up.. look out for this kid everyone will know who he is in the near future.. just got of with GS and my grey and red alphas are being shipped already thanks to you.. congrats again to "gunnar rieck"
oh and greg we cut a metal sevo horn as an extension at the front mount and you can either put a spacer at the bottom at other mount to raise it or use a losi tank mount on the rear as its longer.. it easy mod,no drilling, and its 99% necessary because they leak, only thing your bodies have to be cut different cause the cap isnt in same location.. your getting fresh bodies anyway on your new whips... haha

I haven't heard of the tank problem being in the truggys as much as the buggys. Just run that one. I'm almost sure (I can be wrong so don't flame me) that the losi tanks won't fit in the associated.

what kind of tank troubles do the buggys have? I seem to have a problem with my tank because it seems like it don't wanna push fuel to the carb.
