Finally finished my build-up after getting a worn-out dud roller on ebay.. %95 new now...

Still have a question - are the blue Kyosho springs also as popular for the truggy the way they are for the buggy?..

Thanks CC...

Next question - do any other tanks fit the RC8T? Directly, no modding, drilling, etc... Thanks..

Not at all popular, the Truggy works really well with the default CE book setup. No Kyosho parts needed at all on the Truggies. Silver Springs, 35w all around on 1.3x6 (Kit Stock) pistons, 7/7/7 diffs...let her rip.

It's awesome honestly.

On the tank question....I use a Hotbodies D8T tank, just needs a cut servo horn used as an adapter to make the front mount reach. Should be an easy search in this thread for the mod...well not much of a mod really. Works great though.

I've had 3 (2 brand new) that had internal leaks at the mid point that leaned out the mixture below half a tank. It's not an easy thing to test for unless you know how since it isn't leaking from the outside.

Easiest way to check I found was to blow through the pressure line of a full tank (I use water) and watch the stream coming out of the fuel outlet line...if it develops bubbles at any point the tank is allowing pressurized air into the fuel stream.

It's a big problem, and I don't think everyone even realizes it's happening to them honestly.

Also just to add to this tank thing....My buddy just had a brand new 8.2 Buggy with the same problem. He was chasing a tune like crazy until I told him what to check for...D8 tank and it all went away.

It's the one thing that really irks me..shouldn't be happening. AE really needs to release a new clunk tank already.

I've never had an issue with an AE tank really, and I've had a lot..

I was just asking in case I found something else cheaper.... I did a real bonehead move too finishing off my RC8T build.. - I drilled a hole for the filter-clamp, and kind of knicked the edge of the opening under the lid... Brand new tank... (might still be OK..)

hate to say it, it's probably a kyosho part. I've run the black 1.3x8 Kyosho tapered ones and have the 1.3x6 white before AE came out with theirs. white ones worked well in buggy. Haven't tried the white in truggy.
