Has to use those lead plates as the ESC takes up the space where most add ballast ...

you could try that RCPD alloy chassis.

rear hub slob or play
I have noticed that my SC10 has some serious slop or play in the rear. I also have heard that my buddy has fried some bearings in his rear hub already and his truck is new. I am thinking that the play has something to do with it.
I have tried searching this thread and I could not find much through that process. or maybe I have overlooked something. At any rate, what have you guys done to help tighten up the slop or play in the rear hubs? I would like to upgrade these items. Thoughts on this?? |
for the rear the spacers that go on the hingepin that goes through the hub are not snug. There is a good amount of play right there.
Another thing I am seeing is that over time you can actually see the hub from wear flexing back and forth, probably affecting how much toe in you really have at a given moment. I am planning to do what I did on my T4 and use some bigger spacers to take up the slack. |
Drove my fiance's sc10 yesterday to see how it handles. She is gonna have her hands full with that thing! It has wayyyy to much roll. 35 wt gold springs up front, 30wt silver in the rear. Any suggestions?

Anyone running hazard wheels..how do you keep them from grabbing the body in front? I just know forsure but my friends said it looked like they were grabbing my body and spinning me out. I was struggling so much I didn't know what was what.

here is a question based on the whole body roll thing.
Seems if you stiffen up the suspension to get rid of body roll, you get a traction rolling issues from what I can tell on carpet. anyone found what setting they changed that gave the best of both worlds. |

I have found by increasing the dampning it doesn't have as much affect as stiffer springs. This combined with camber link placement and playing with the camber you can find a happy medium. I have been playing with my settings on carpet, but my truck still seems inconsistent. Some laps the rear end just slides out, and every once in a while it wants to snap roll. I just try not to push it and react to how it wants to be driven, I know that isn't ideal, but it has been working for now.....

I'm kicking myself right now.. I got my truck dialed and lost set-up sheet and forgot what weight oils :(
|
no prob. Part of me is wondering if the truck with an alloy chassis could help things. more weight as low as possible.
