what are the common rubbing/breaking issue spots on the SC10 bodies? just got my 7.5T FTSC10 together and i want to prepare the body for the worse

rear corners mainly. once that starts the cracks work up where a normal trucks bedrails would be, top of rear fenders. also some times around the mounts.
I use gorilla tape (same as duct tape but stronger) along the fenders and use shoegoo around the body mts and rear corners.
have brought a couple bodies back to life with this method

Anywhere that has paint on it...

I use shoo goo to repair cracks on the inside. Just make sure the body is clean before you put it on. It dries pretty quick so get it where you need it and don't forget to put the cap back on the tube quickly as well.

That is one of the best looking bodies you have painted Jim. I might have to have one of those painted up like that.

Will be doing that mod in the future, thanks.

Nobody has converted to 12mm hex hubs on an SC10? Wow guess I will have to figure it out on my own.

it been done and its tested no breaking...you dont have to cut drill chop anything to convert it and you can go back to stock if you dont like it...
get the blitz front hub assembled complete off ebay 15 bucks...take you set screw out put the blitzs hubs on snap ball cups in done for the back just place the the hex over the pin tight it down..i can not stand the front wheel only concept and spinning your rear wheels...so i did this...

Ran my FT SC10 for the first time today. This thing was dialed! One issue though....jumping it. I have the batter all the way to the front, but I just can't get my front to come down. Even if it is in the air and I peg the brakes, the front end still just floats. Makes for some rough landings. Help?

Check ride height and adjust bones level, check slipper and makesure its not locked up, don't gas full throttle way before jump ,instead roll up slower & blip over jump ...

okay guys, just got my FT SC10, instead of reading threw all these pages what are the best tips and speed secrets while i am putting it together? is there any trouble spots to look for in assembly? is the setup in the manual the best to go with or is thier a different setup to be using? I will be running indoors this winter with it on clay tracks........this isnt my first kit, i have been racing for 5 or 6 years, but this is my first short course. thanks ahead of time.

Inlines have way more steering , for stuff like carpet.
Stick with the trailing blocks....

Inline has the axle in line with the steering block hingepin, offers more direct steering if ThunderbirdJunkie recalls correctly.

Truck should be more stable with the kit-supplied (assuming the FT has the same steering blocks as the regular kit) trailing blocks.

Here's a gif of ThunderbirdJunkie's SC10. Enjoy.

you prolly have too much air in the body, make some vent holes.

Check your track rules first. Our track does not allow body holes as does the ROAR rules.

Try letting off just before the truck leaves the face of the jump. This helps the nose stay down. Also you can try softer front springs or stiffer rears; just depends on the rest of the tracks conditions.
