I just ordered a 60A ESC, a 10T motor and a 17.5T motor. I have a feeling that I'm going to need to dial back that 10T quite a bit, but it was on sale when the 13.5 wasn't, so I snagged it instead.

If your not using stock tires and something that can hook up, and you get your setup right, then the 10t will work good. The only thing you have to worry about then is the driver (no pun intended). I find on the larger track that I run on with my setup now with a 13.5 I am pinning it a majority of the straights and a couple of corners of our track, which means I can step it up after getting it dialed now.

If I recall correctly, mine came with grease and not oil.
The manual also shows black grease.

Hey guys, I have a quick question. What ESC are people running mostly in the sc10? I have a GTB but kinda wanted to keep that in my TC3. Are people running 540 or 550 motors?

Anyone?

Rampokker 07-21-2010 02:48 PM

At our track everyone runs 540 size motors. For brushless setups its pretty much open in terms of esc's. Tekin RS, novak havoc or GTB etc. I've been running a GTB with 10.5 motor and it works great.

I think I will get the RS pro...seems like a good ESC based on reviews.

Run it in all my off road cars.

I wouldn't run anything else.

The sidewinder with the software / link is a very good deal. Gives you plenty of options for setup.

In stock class I've been using the 17.5 Ballistic/Havoc Pro. Plenty of power and a good bit of adjustments (just not as easy to setup as the sidewinder).
