Well someone asked about the buggy tires and how they work, I raced at an indoor track and I cant tell you, my truck sucked, never raced indoor before and I had a 2ft by 2ft spot to put all my stuff, I am use to my table, fan, a chair, and a canopy with all the room I want. So I never got to work on my truck. They seem to work fine, but I put buggy slicks on and the truck was glued to the track which in turn caused it to be extremely light in the front, had no on throttle steering at all. But if you wanted to ride a wheelie, no problem, I rode one down the whole straight just kicks several times, most fun I had there. After the races, I added an oz of weight to the front chassis and it seemed to be easier to drive, shocks needed lighter oil in them for sure. Just have to try it again, just being indoor was an extreme shock to me. I qualified 3rd and got 4th in the A main, mod corr truck.

Are any of you guys running servo savers? Like a small Kimbrough?

bllski 11-25-2009 09:52 AM

I have been running a 8.5turn geared 16/87 and I love how it runs, but am going to change to a 17.5 turn to meet the new spec class rules at my track. Would 24/74 be good gearing I am running a 5000mAh 40c lipo?

What shock oil is everyone using.

I've crashed twice now in a way that I thought would have popped my servo saver, but didnt. Fortunately I have a decent metal gear servo, but I think my saver might be screwed.

The first time I crashed I was doing a wheelie and hit a wall, and it ripped the threaded rod right out of the end cup that connects to the servo horn.

The second time I crashed I was doing maybe 20 or so and understeered, clipping the edge of a utility box. Same thing happened, ripped the threaded rod right out, again.

Is there a way I can check my servo saver maybe? Make sure it's working right?

30/25 for indoor 1/10th track. Stock pistons and limiters.

Go real soft on the oil, this truck has alot of pack. I can drop mine from about 3 feet up and it'll barely bottom.

What Speedo you runnin?

I'm running 24/75 on my Novak Ballistic 17.5 with a Tekin Rs esc. I would pick up a 26 for outdoors.

servo saver saves the servo, not the truck parts.

RUN TIME?

Hi guys,

Short question.

Been in nitro for many years now and when I left off in Electric we were still running brushed motors and 3000mah packs *just* were letting us run 5-min. Obviously modern innovations have opened up the runtime window to easily exceed 20mins.

So...

In an SC10 w/a Novak GTB and a 17.5 or 13.5 BL motor, what kind of run time are ya'll getting from a 5000mah pack? I've heard 30+mins but no hard numbers.

Kinda wanting to see if I can get away with a 10min runtime on a 4000mah pack since they're lighter (and cheaper). 2S-40C-4000mah.

Thanks!

I can get 20 minutes from one of my ThunderPower 40C 5000mAh packs with a 17.5 under race conditions. I would be confident that you can get a solid 10 minutes from a good 4000mAh pack.

I let a friends brother run my sc10 at a local race last night. He has never run a corr truck before much less any rc over the past 5 years other than a baja 5t. He took the tq and Won the main by a lap and a half. I was truly amazed watching him drive it as in some turns the car looked like it was on auto pilot. He would jut turn the wheel and go.

to all the people jumping on the blitz bandwagon yall are truly missing out on a GREAT truck.

It would be very hard to choose between the 2. I have both and they are both EXCELLENT trucks...

Hyper 10sc is next...:sneaky:
