you need new pads on the slipper now its going to do nothing but slip as they are pretty worn out..

still running the gear diff?
check the slipper pads also. if they're glazed over, they won't do any good. you can rough them up a bit with sandpaper or just flip them over and use the other side until that glazes.
depending on your surface, you may have to tighten the slipper even more.
130 is good on the motor. may be able to go up 1 on the pinion, but if you're still running the 87 spur, i would drop that and use a pinion to keep around the same ratio. i ran 24/87 on mine with a 10.5 which is what the book recommends but the gears were too tight and it was heating up the motor.

yea, 23/87 is the most I can get in mine, I took it apart and seen the glaze on the discs, I scotch brited it off and put it back together, have to try tomorrow in the daylight
I do have 23/87 with the 7.5 in the truck, havent tried it yet, is there a chart somewhere that has ratio's for that motor in a SC10? I think I am going to put the 21/87 back in it. Thats what the ratio for the T4 is for the 7.5

Anyone know of longer pins that fit the rear axle,so they would seet in the rim better not striping it out. Thanks

If you search here, I think someone posted how to fill the triangles with epoxy or JB weld to prevent them from stripping, I stripped out the set with the truck and the new ones I got were updated to thicker plastic and I have had no problems with the new style.

they both have tranny ratios of 2.67:1 so that should be correct.
think you'll be good after fixing the slipper pads.
to check your slipper, push your car backwards about 5 or 6 feet and hit full throttle. it should slip about 2 or 3 feet before it catches.

The gear ratio is the same but I dont know the tire height of the T4, the wheels are different sizes.

Does anyone have a gearing recommendation for a 13.5 in the SC10 with 8th scale buggy tires? Thanks

Do you like 8th scale tires on the core truck? Personally I think they are highly overrated. I have yet to see an SC truck, with 1/8th scale tires, ever win a club race. That's a dozen or so races I have seen with them across 3 different tracks. Don't they raise an already high COG on a SC truck. Doesn't that degrade handling? Just curious.

If I get to race at someones elses track tomorrow I will let yal know how the buggy tires work, they are off the hook on my track, so much more control of the truck in the air and corners so much faster, 2secs a lap faster. My track is an outdoor track and the other track is a indoor track that so far I have only seen slicks bite on it. I will say the buggy tires like anti squat, I added 1 and am going to put 2degs in the truck tomorrow.

Took my new to me SC10 out racing last night for the first time.

It's basically a FT SC10 with a T4 transmission and shocks.

I have a traxxas velineon in it and MOTHER OF GOD it is fast.....but takes a lot of discipline to control.

Qualified 3rd, finished first, I'm now amazed it took me so long to get into the short course trucks.
