Until you take the BL ready steel gears out and put the Rustler gears and diff housing in. Mine is by far the smoothest quietest Slash I have heard.

Hey Chuck, have you seen the Calibers from Proline yet? They are close to a holeshot, pin style...

Haha yea man I have been working hard on my setup and finally have something I can learn to drive these trucks with.

There was some good comp. in the open short course and still managed to tq with a 12 second gap to second. I was stoked.

Just a shame Jesse had to bring out a 4wd truck for the main. I know it's open but come on now. Where is the fun in driving a 4wd versus all 2wd.

Anyways, get that truck fixed and back to the track.

It was good to see u racing again. I'll be there this week sometime again.

Yes spring tension play a big role on tha titan 12t 550 if you can somehow manage to increase the tension on that motor positive spring you will definitely see the difference even on a dyno run push the positive spring and you will hear the motor reving higher.

I just happened to have a Kyosho Le Mans 360ST laying in my motors box. It is a 550 can that came with a 22T arm. I don't know what the timing is but the results speak for themselves.

I took a lame Titan apart and put the arm in the 360 can with new brushes and ran it.

Titan;
rpm watt amp
13812 15 6.9
12465 27 10.6
11555 34 13.4
10847 40 16.0
10320 46 18.5
9672 50 21.6

Titan arm in 360 can

25479 27 9.8
23486 51 15.3
22254 66 18.4
21200 76 22.7
19999 89 25.6
18329 96 28.1

Nearly twice the RPM and power with a normal brush hood!

Matt and I just got my rtr together tonight, and he was thinking the 17 turn motor in it was not legal for the spec sc truck class (he drove it and said it was too fast). Does anyone know? I'm sure some of you have built trucks for the spec class.

This truck is amazing. Ran it in the street for 3 sessions with a 4600 nimh and it rips! Motor feels flat on top though, but I guess that's what you get with an rtr. Some ody said it has no botom end, but it feels the other way around to me

Quick question, Are you using a turbo dyno?
I usually see comparison test done in AMP step, but your amps are so different....
Also if you are comparing the 21.6amp stock and 28.1amp in the 360can
28.1-21.6=6.5amp X 7.2V(test volts)
There is already: 46.8 watts difference in input.......

it's a turbo dyno and I tested it on the number one setting. I think it is set to 5V and that's the print out, I know you can change the way it tests but I am just comparing one motor to another so I have left it the way it came and using watt's and rpm.

Reedy Radon 17T dyno number

I see, anyway here is a out of the box (not even broken-in) radon 17T
Volts 7.2
RPM Torq Watt EF AMPS
24252 2.4 44 61 10.0
23728 3.3 58 65 12.4
22834 4.1 70 65 14.9
22276 5.0 83 66 17.4
21407 6.0 95 65 19.9
20056 7.6 113 63 24.9

I would most likely redo this test later,
7.0V with 15A, 18A, 20A, 22A, 25A, 28A
and then do some tuning, hoping to find some more power.

Looking at mine it is set to 5 volts and torq steps 1.4, 2.9, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0.

Can you look at the numbers as being 40% different based on the test voltage between the two tests?

113 down to 68 watt's? the strongest Titan I have tested with my settings has been 71 watt's. If so that would be a weak 17T, I have 19T testing in the 90s.
