Avid is a great deal. I am still putting my kit together and no the RPM gt2 rear arms don't fit and the front RPM gt2 arm work but you have to buy smaller hinge pinns. And if you are almost done building and you get to the shock build step make sure you leave like a hour extra for just trying to get the shock caps to thread on straight.

I have the GT2 arms all the way round, with GT2 hubs in the rear and the stock ones in front. I had to get a GT2 pin set too. The rear arms are shorter than the T-4/SC10 arms but hubs are longer and the installed length at the wheel is the same.

Yeah Avid is great. I get my bearings from there too... The owner, David, also runs www.rc10b4.com which used to be the most happening RC forum before RCTECH days...

Again, I appreciate your help!

Yes but if we are talking about the gt2 arm from RPM they are the same but opposite as the stock arms. If you put a stock arm on the angle will be different then the gt2. If you put the left one on the right side then they will match up. It is hard to explain. But the rear arm angle towards the front. It is a different angle. Well you will just have to see for yourself.

whipnet i see that you have the castle sidewinder do you like it?????

tom_chang79 10-10-2009 07:00 PM

I personally prefer the Mamba Max over the Sidewinder. They are very close in price, Mamba Max has a higher amp rating, doesn't need the "Castle Link" accessory to connect to Castle's Software.

Still, the 4600Kv I have in my SC10 feels a bit much. I think it's due to the craptacular tires that the SC10s come with...

I love it actually and think it's perfect for the SC10.

Tom - At AMain there is almost a $70 difference in price. Same motor (5700). Even when I had to buy the castle link package to connect, that was only $20, leaving still a $50 difference. I did not feel the extra was needed in a SC10.

These rear shocks are terrible. I don't seem to be having the problem with the shock caps, but these things are impossible to bleed. I know you need some air in them so they don't hydrolock, but getting that small amount of air is impossible! Does anyone have Any tips on how to do that?

And I think one of my shaft came dinged from the factory because It leaked like a siv out of the box and I just rebuilt them and the shock is half empty after 1 night of racing

Front shocks seem nice, though

thanks, i thought that i didnt really need a high amp esc cuz im only going to run in a stock SCT class so i will not be using any high amp draw motors the biggest brushless motor i'll use is a 17.5t. yes there is a big difference in price.

xraysteve 10-11-2009 06:30 AM

I don't want to start a fight. The mamba is great for mod. It does not work well with stock. It will cog and hesitate on the starts with a 17.5. If you want a mamba wait for the pro coming out. It will be sensord.

Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I just tried out a set of the ST Racing Hex adapters and they seem to work pretty good however they fit kind of loose? Right now I have one shim between the adapter and the bearing, I tried two but then I couldn't get the pin in. It almost seems like you need to put the axle nut on, but it won't fit inside the adapter. Anyone have a fix for this?

Man, these minicams inside RCs are cool! Makes me want to get one... But then I gotta get a laptop with it to record right?

Would be cool to make a 3D simulator ride out of these RC minicam footage.... :)
