What's up Wi!! glad to see your still into RC. What have you been running out on the road trip? Did you hit family hobbies?

We are in North Carolina for a week and I will be racing that track in Vanceboro this Sunday. We we leave here we are going to Jersey, Family has no practice days and i found Zak's Hobbies a little out of town off the main street in Vineland. They are open till 9pm every night and have an off road and 12th scale carpet track. I will be there every day we are in town with my Slash, SC10, CRC gen-X and HB 12X.

drive harder. :ha:

no im kidding. what motor do you have and did you use any glue? Also i was running them at a very low bite track so the tires are always spinning like crazy.

all i know is that i have a set of these almost new for sale. you wont see me run them again.

I got a set for my Slash when they first came out and ran them a few times. Since then my daughter has been running them and in months I have not had to re-due a single one, I have seen many others come apart though?

running a 8.5 novak..havoc...all i did is take off the ring and reversed it.. it seems to hold the beed of the tire better.working so far track conditions loose to hard packed...

Pimpin 08-01-2009 12:18 PM

yea i thought about flipping the ring over too becasue it it kinda concaved a little bit so its not putting full pressure on the bead. If i drive like i should and dont get wiskey throttle they actually last pretty long but if im stuck on the pvc and tires arent on the ground all the way the tires want to come flying off and i think thats what does it alot.

But with a stock setup they should never come off. With a fast motor they are bound to come off sooner or later.

$50 for my set. i just remounted them and they look good!!! i wish i could run them with better luck becuase they make the truck look soooooo good!

hairymuffin 08-01-2009 04:33 PM

wow put the truck(rtr) on the track and raced last night. It ran very well. I ran the stock tires but the rear was loose. Then I switched to the m3 bowties and it was hooked! Only problem was that the motor ran very hot! It has a 18t on it,I didnt have a 17 to try. The gearing seemed perfect and I really dont want to change it....

Lucky for me Brent T from associated showed up to watch(team AE manager)... And he told me how to get a little more rear traction that the team guys did. 1st was the racers edge rear aluminum hubs(1.5). #2 try to move the battery back some if you can, #3 use the outside hole on the rear hubs and also mod the rear tires, he said to use a cutting wheel and make a groove in the inner and outer tread. I didnt try none of these yet but I will. I would also like to get that front brace if I could

I am considering getting an SC10 and was wondering if lipo saddle packs would fit in them? The reason I ask is because I already have a bunch of saddle packs for my B44 and so it would be ideal if I could use them same batteries between them.

Cheers,
Nic.

saddles might work. See if the brace clears the terminals.

Losi makes 1 and 2 degree hubs that will work. I ran them in the past and have a good success.

I have run my maxamps 6000 in my slash, never tried in the SC but im sure it would work. the crossover wire had enough flex in it. I got protested for running 4S:lol:
