your getting like 160-170 temps ?

it really depends on how long i run for. If i got the whole Lipo battery in one session it gets up to 190-195. But i dont really do that. After a race it is usually 150-160 with a POS temp gauge (no laser).

Also, I'll primarily be running at OCRC so any advice on gearing and tires?
Thanks,

Running a Novak Havoc 3S with 8.5T ballistics motor.I love my truck. Pretty durable too.Did tonnes of flips today and ran about 4 packs so far. With 87/16, the motor and speed controller are barely even warm. Gonna drop in a 18 for more speed.

i would keep going castle and throw a 5700 in it.. nothing like seeing your truck doing wheelies down the straight

CBHVR6 08-04-2009 11:51 AM

i had a 5700 in my slash and it just got too hot with the gearing i liked. over 200 on the track!

i thought 4600 but just wanted to try something new.

i run smc 40c 2s, will the tray fit standard 3s batteries?

The JConcepts Goosebumps didn't work well for me and a couple others. The hot ticket are the Bowtie's.

SC10 question

Hi all I have just got my first off-road vehicle after 23 years, and its a SC10 RTR, I am enjoying my SC10, but coming from on road I don't have any idea how to set the truck -up, I am in Socal my tracks are Westcoast Rc and OCRC raceways, just realized that off-road really require a lot more fines driving than on road, and you can't just be a trigger happy on the throttle
any how i would like to stabalize the rear end a bit what should i do
it is still stock rtr

shock oil?
ride high?
tires and inserts?

LMK many thanks guys
