Hey waybro,
If you like the shock combo BK had but wanna do Losi shocks, I have written down somewhere what the crossover would be from AE to Losi stuff, oils, pistons and springs. Would be very close. I don't even remember what is in my truck but it too is/was quite dialed, huh Matt. You're lucky you can outdrive me, a little:sneaky: cuz my truck was good. Smash, your diff should last a long time, mine was done once and is still going. |
well another horrible main for me yesterday. First coming into the first turn and last coming out of turn 3. Battled back to first and then decided to park it on the pipe a few times and gave first up to walnutz....
walnutz if your reading this, dont plan on first any more. You got lucky twice....im not letting that happen again. :sneaky: i decided to make my own rear tires for my SC10 and i took some panther switch 1/8 scale tires and glued a 10th scale sidewall to them so they would mount to my sc10 wheel. the thing had CRAZY more forward bite which i was lacking some. and the side bit was pretty much equal. maybe a tad more now. was able to pull consistent 23 and 24 second lap times for the whole race. went to a stiffer front spring and that seemed to help on the higher speed turns. |

Stiffens up the front end and prevents it from rolling as much or collapsing the front end. This will lesson the ability of the rear to wash out. If you go too stiff it will make the car push hard in the high speed turns.
but good info though |
Gotcha! Walnutz likes it stiff,
he also beat Matt with far less motor. But, in matts defense, the marshal, aka retarded muppet, was asleep at the turn allowing walnutz some time. |

I'm thinking about getting a SC10. The local track is doing a stock class with rtr short course trucks and a open class. I was thinking about starting in stock with a SC10 rtr and moving up to open as I get the parts needed to compete.
What is the difference between the rtr and kit rollers? I read back a while. Saw something about a diff issue and a rim issue. Can anyone give me a simple explanation of what is happening. Say I have the rtr and I am preparing to move to open class. What gear would I want to get? I plan to start with lipo but would want a brushless combo and upgraded tires and stuff. Ive been running here for years and a stiff foam has always been the hot set-up. I have a bunch of AKA buggy foams can I stuff them in some Calibers? |
Haha, that was the intent. Walnuts is the kid thAt works at ocrc that sags his emo pAnts.

Yeah I hate the 1/10th shocks too. I remember spending hours trying to get my B4 shocks right. The new caps ought to really help.
Someone on another forum told me the stock electronics suck but if they lasted a couple races while I saved up for a brushless setup they would be worth the $30 or whatever they cost. |
