the solid pins dint break ever. but do fall on the floor all the time.

A tiny bit of blue loctite will help that and you can still get them out if you need to.

You guys see these yet?

- Available in M2 and M3 compounds
- Made to fit 3.0" x 2.2" diameter wheels
- Comes with foam inserts
- A Bow-Tie center tread design that accomplishes full scale racing tire looks while providing ridiculous amounts of traction on the dirt
- Optimum traction on any race surface yet durable enough to take it on the streets or in the backyard

Keep on eye on Pro-Line new wheels to match these tires are coming soon!

They actually look pretty good IMO.

looks nice glad to see another choice for tires hopefully soon..

Hmm....If you go to the Pro-Line web site and look at the video of the VW Baha body on a Slash, they show the tires. Refers to them as Bow Tie SC tires.....

BuggyKing 05-20-2009 10:39 PM

wonder how much better they'd be over the switches or the goose bumps.

Were many of you fellow SC10 owners anal enough to replace the copper bushing in the steering assembly with bearings?

How critical is it? If you did, how long was it before you noticed slop to warrant bearings in there?

Also, did you guys have to "shove" the rear rims onto the axles REALLY hard? The center hole of my rear rims seemed to be slightly smaller then my axle and I had to shove HARD onto it...

Other then that, I love this SC10. Took it out for a spin on my street. It's stupid fast with a 4600Kv Mamba Max!!!

Afer a whole lot of searching i finally found a site that has the Racers Edge hub carriers. http://www.quicktechhobby.com/

RCE9437 B4/T4 1 DEG RR HUB CARRIER
RCE9438 B4/T4 1 1/2 DEG RR HUB CARRIER

QUICK TECH HOBBY TURNED OUT TO BE A SCAM. I'M SORRY FOR ANY THAT ORDERED FROM THEM. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I USED THEM. AFTER A MONTH OF WAITING AND REQUESTING THE STATUS OF MY ORDER VIA WEBSITE AND PHONE AND NEVER GETTING ANY RESPONSE AS WELL AS TRYING TO CANCEL MY ORDER I HAVE CONTACTED MY BANK TO GET THE CHARGES REVERSED AS WELL AS PUT IN A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU. AGAIN I APOLOGIZE FOR MISLEADING ANYONE WHO TRIED THEIR SITE AND SUGGEST THAT IF YOU DID GET A HOLD OF YOUR BANK TO CANCEL IT AS WELL AS PUT IN A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. a quick google search will come up with complaints about the same situation dating back as far as 2005 to presant.

You can get solid axel pins. I have them in most of my cars.

My LHS had some of these (1654) so I picked some up. These are more of what I am used to.

Thanks for the tip PT, I am an AE noob.

Yeah alittle tight but after a few times on/off for washing the tires they fit perfect.

SC10 vs Slash round 2

SC10 vs Slash back to back round two. SC10 has a Novak 13.5 brushless/esc combo, Airtronics 94357 steering servo, 1.5 deg rear hubs. Slash is 100% stock including the radio. SC10 round one and the main, Slash round two. The track seemed very loose last night and the Slash ended up being easier to drive.
