Ok, so you are saying that you run the Losi rear silvers on your fronts of the SC10, and Losi rear yellow's on the rear of your SC10? I'm sorry, I know you told me on the phone a while ago, and I wrote it down, but now I lost the sticky note :( I am going to be running my truck at my local indoor clay track, w/ medium to high grip. I'm really excited to give these Losi bb springs a try. Hope that they work out well... just trying to make sure I get the correct springs (or something close to), so that I don't have to keep ordering more of them. Thanks for your help Brent!
I am running on the SC10 2wd Losi BB Rear Gray on the rear. Losi BB Rear Silver on the front. B4.1 Losi BB White rear on the rear, Gray pushed to much Losi BB Red on the front B44.1 Losi BB white Rear Losi BB Orange front |

So, just a quick question. I hate to keep talking about the Losi bb springs, but I just want to get something straight before I make an order. Currently I am running AE gray rear springs (2.33lbs) and red front springs (3.9lbs). So, when I switch over to the Losi springs, I plan on ordering the Pinks for the rear (#5168 2.3lbs). But, I'm not quite sure which one fits the fronts and match the AE red spring rate?
Is it like the TLR5176 blue spring (3.8lb)... or is this just for buggies? Also, I noticed someone said last week that even though the rates are the same between the AE and Losi springs, that they are completely different. Has anyone else had this problem? I mean, I understand they probably aren't exactly the same.. but are they close enough that I can go off of the lb. rating? Thanks for your help guys, Im reallyyy sorry to talk about Losi springs again, I'm sure everyone hates me now, haha  I'm using losi bb black buggy front in the front of my SC10, rate of 4.1. Lots of steering, truck is locked! The losi buggy front are on the small side, so I used some traxxas rtr spacers between the traxxas uppers to keep ride height adjustability. I use 22t losi bb rear yellows, great fit, as is, with traxxas upper retainer. I did have the losi green buggy rears rate 3.5, too soft. I think the losi rates are on the low side. |

How much weight in the rear of the truck? I am running Losi Yellow 2.0 with alot of push, I am trying Pinks next 2.3. I am also running 2.5oz weight in the rear though.
2oz behind battery battery mounted forward. I think 1/2 by receiver, I don't remember. It's dialed so I do not adjust anything.. Been adjusting gearing. with the New Viper system 13.5t geared at 25/84 |
hex conversion?
Just curious if there is a more cost effective way to get hex all the way round for my wheels on my sc10? Discovered the hard way that the new tires I bought for playing in the snow won't work cause the wheels on this thing have a pin....

what is the best pinion gear/spur gear combo for a castle 3800 kv motor in my sc10 2wd?

I ran mine 23/81 and had plenty of power and ran around 100 degrees. But it was stripping wheels and eating bearings and cva's.

PS.. if you need part numbers to convert to AE hexes (or JConcepts if you want), check out page# 575 of this thread. Half way down the page, my man Brent posted all the info you need to know. |
thank you.

Had the truck 3 weeks now and really getting the feel for it. Took second in the Amain Sunday which I am very happy with. Kind of off topic I drove by friends worlds B4.1 to see how it felt compared to my 22. Needless to say I came home from the races and sold my 22 then ordered a Worlds car today:lol:. So im 2/3's of the way converted from Losi to AE.

More cost effective then what? It really doesn't cost much at all to convert all 4 corners to hexes. If you go with all original AE stuff, it can be done for around $25-$30 I believe. I did mine with JConcept aluminum adapters, so it was a bit more. But, $25 or so to convert really isn't that much. Fully worth the $ you will pay for it... trust me

I know, I thought it was kind of odd at first to... but trust me, he definitely knows his stuff. He's helped me over the phone with SC10 problems in the past. I am ordering the springs for this exact setup on my FT tomorrow. |
