I swear I got hooked on other trucks at least 2 times a race day with the RPM bumper. Moray eel style. Once I was latched on my victim had no escape. I went back to the stock bumper because of that and because it's significantly lighter.

I would try moving the hub forward first. Try it and see how it drives. I was having issues similar to yours and running my hubs in the middle was the best for me. Putting the camber link in the outside hole will keep the same degree of camber throughout the whole travel of suspension.

I shorten the wheelbase and moved the link out to the last link on b4 alum. hubs and I ran my fastest times ever and qual. 2nd finished 1st in points race yesterday. I don;t think the SC10 likes alot of rear camber so moving the link out helped me with corner exit and on-power steering. Also I use a JRz9100s servo which is .06 and it makes the truck easy to catch when it gets loose on accel. I recommend using a fast servo really helped me!

Glad it helped.

What servo and speed control is everyone using for there sc10 ?

Running a Mamba Max Pro ESC with a 10.5T Thunder Power motor. The MMP is a very popular speed control on the SC10 (and most other SC trucks), nearly all of the SC10'ers at my track run em'... they work great! Also, I am currently running a Savox-0252MG servo, but have just purchased a Savox-1258TG servo the other day. I would say that the Savox-1258TG is by far one of the most popular servos for the SC10

got my son a sc10 since he got the dirt bug. just wondered what the most commonly broke parts r. and anything else that would be good to know

jlfx car audio what version of the sc10 did you buy for your son? reason i ask is because there are different versions of it. i currently have a sc10 2wd FT and something that i would keep an eye on is the rear differential. does the sc10 2wd have the ball or gear rear diferential?

Gear Diff.

darryl80 05-07-2012 02:54 AM

i have heard the gear diff is better than the ball diff is that correct?

darryl80 05-07-2012 03:00 AM

because i would like to get a gear diff to have on hand if i decide i ever want to switch back and forth.

samuelsonmark71 05-07-2012 03:05 AM

I personally like the ball diff a bunch more, but thats personal preferance. It takes more to maintain but once its set its golden

Cloaked 05-07-2012 03:12 AM

Basically

Ball Diff smooths out acceleration out of corners, you can get on the throttle and the car will stay in a straighter line. However this comes at the cost of regular maintinence.

Gear Diff, fill it with Diff oil and tame the beast. Refill and check gears when it sounds like crap.

Well thats what I have learnt from countless hours searching.

As for spare parts I ordered myself some A Arms, Some steering arms, some hinge pins and thats about it.

darryl80 05-07-2012 03:28 AM

what would it cost to get the parts for a gear diff?
