You tell'em Scotty. Lol. I have asked a lot of questions on this site and every time I do I get an answer within a couple hours. Only difference is I do everything in my power to fix it myself before asking for help. Guess its a pride thing. If it sounds like grinding guess what it's prob grinding. Take it a part

I like the whole placement of the esc, transponder, and reciever. Its nice and clean. What fan is that? Also, with the 3800kv and Sidewinder esc, Ive managed to beat some of the tekins on the straights. I added a little power to the motor using the castle link setup. Another way to get a slight increase in speed is to turn epa up on channel two(channel two is your esc). I put mine up to 120 percent and I feel like the truck is taking longer to get up the speed but it gets to a higher speed when it does. The 3800 is one heck of a motor for the price.

Sorry but even at $12 those Jconcept wheel nuts are a waste of money IMHO. If your steel nyloc nuts are coming loose just replace them. Its like $2 for a package. I could replace them every other race for the summer and still be cheaper than the Jconcepts.

Dont get me wrong they are nice. Just not worth it imho.

You are entitled to your opinion. As you can see from the rest of my truck, I like everything to be perfect. I don't mind spending money on a vastly superior product. In my opinion, the JConcepts Serrated nuts are just that. The holding force they produce is unbelievable, and they are black anodized aluminum. Plus they are the only readily available serrated 8-32 nut. I could order some from mcmaster-carr, but they don't have them in aluminum.

Like it says below the pic, the fan is a 25mm Novak. It is shoe-gooed to the chassis.

Have you taken anything apart to see where the noise is coming from?
Have you posted any pics of possible problems you think may be the cause of your noise?

Have you done anything to the truck besides posting on here on what we think can be the problem? Cause we have X-ray vision and can see through the internet at your truck

and why would you not research presents you are given? You just basically saved the cost of the truck. so Maybe the person who gave it to you should do the research cause they bought it?

Oh look, not even 5 mins of my time with using google.

That so hard?

Again. Have you taken anything apart to see if there is a problem? anything broken? you are coming on here asking for someone to fix it for you or tell you what is wrong with it without giving us ANY info or pics of anything.

We aren't your babysitter we aren't getting paid to fix your truck.

Hope those links help and you get the truck fixed and back to playing with it..

If you need help knowing how to remove it
here

Cick Me.

So, just a quick question. I hate to keep talking about the Losi bb springs, but I just want to get something straight before I make an order. Currently I am running AE gray rear springs (2.33lbs) and red front springs (3.9lbs). So, when I switch over to the Losi springs, I plan on ordering the Pinks for the rear (#5168 2.3lbs). But, I'm not quite sure which one fits the fronts and match the AE red spring rate?
Is it like the TLR5176 blue spring (3.8lb)... or is this just for buggies?

Also, I noticed someone said last week that even though the rates are the same between the AE and Losi springs, that they are completely different. Has anyone else had this problem? I mean, I understand they probably aren't exactly the same.. but are they close enough that I can go off of the lb. rating?

Thanks for your help guys, Im reallyyy sorry to talk about Losi springs again, I'm sure everyone hates me now, haha

So you complain about bitchy off-topic posts by adding a bitchy post of your own that will spawn bitchy off-topic responses?

I encourage everyone to instead of giving the usual "go search the thread" response to repeat questions, to just ignore the poster all together and let the guy figure it out for himself. As you can see, anything short of an immediate specific answer is unacceptable to these guys anyway.

Front are different.
I am not sure if anyone on here is running Losi BB springs on the front. I am running Silver Rear Losi BB springs on the front of my SC10.
You need to cut off .060" of the eye let to the shock shaft and run 2-.030" shock limiters on the outside of the shaft to limit up travel.

With the Losi BB silver in the front at no preload I have 28mm ride height.
The yellow rear springs are 1/4" longer than the silver. I am not sure how they will fit

I would go over to a Losi guy and tell him how cool his suspension looks out on the track. Then ask him if you can take a couple springs home until next race day.

Once home get a small digital scale and place it on a drill press. Set the drill press to compress the spring 20% of it's full height. Write down the reading. Next, compress it about 50% of it's full height. Write down the reading. Calculate your spring rate from there.

Go back to the track and thank your Losi buddy. Go to the counter at the hobby shop and order some springs. It's not the easiest way but it's dead accurate.

Addendum- this also works for Kyosho springs.

Ok, so you are saying that you run the Losi rear silvers on your fronts of the SC10, and Losi rear yellow's on the rear of your SC10? I'm sorry, I know you told me on the phone a while ago, and I wrote it down, but now I lost the sticky note :( I am going to be running my truck at my local indoor clay track, w/ medium to high grip. I'm really excited to give these Losi bb springs a try. Hope that they work out well... just trying to make sure I get the correct springs (or something close to), so that I don't have to keep ordering more of them. Thanks for your help Brent!

That's a really great idea, I never would have thought to do something like that! I think I might actually try this, but I first need to find someone at my track who will let me borrow their springs, and find someone who will let me use their drill press :) Did you come up with that idea yourself? Thanks for your help man
