ignore the KV rating.
If you are going to run a stock spec 17.5T class. Get a 17.5T motor
Viper's 17.5T I am hearing is very fast
Trinity's D3 is also fast. A few people at our track are running them and they are moving

Omg they are fast and run cooler than many. I'm geared the same as a buddies Novak, 30 degrees cooler and I am faster down the straight. The Novak mothers are weak now. Viper, reedy and revtech and the 3 fastest I see in the 17.5 class:nod:

You can set your speed control to the aggressive side which is like boost.

well it is a ss 17.5 so no timing adjustment on the endbell I have static electonic timing set to 20* 78/28 gearing and after a 10 min run on the track im at 130ish temps.
and why ignor the kv the directly equates to speed more kv is more rpms.

Because 99.99% of most tracks do not go off a Kv rating for motor/class size rule
Most tracks use ROAR rules so there is a HUGE guide line to go off of and ROAR does not use a KV rating for a motor class.

Local here one track lists
17.5T Stock class
13.5T super stock

the Prolite (2wd SCT) is 13.5T, I am hearing going to drop to a 17.5T

the SC10RS Stock Reedy motor is 3300kv. Novaks 13.5T motor is 3300kv Trinity's 13.5T is 3600kv

My Stock Reedy 3300kv will hand my Novak's 13.5T motor it's ass

They will not allow the 3300kv into a Prolite class.

the Kv is a good way to pick a motor as long as it fits the class rules.

Vipers 13.5T is under 3000kv and that motor flys

I know that stuff I have been in rc for years, what i meant was which 17.5 has the highest kv hence which is the fastest 17.5 motor.

Pick one that you think looks the best, has a good warranty and people run at the track or whatever you like the best.

:)

Get one that's rebuildable too.

+1 to that :)

took the stocker out wed. night. Had to transfer from the b.
Took 3rd in the A, wasn't too bad of a night. Racing 3 classes that night, quite the workout.

A local took pity on my truck and threw some v1 threaded shock bodies at me. Hopefully I can use them. The rs has the V2 shocks, but I did end up w/ what look like rtr v1 shocks. Should be able to make them work.

I'm thinking about putting the 1410 and sidewinder esc in. I could use a little more power. The problem is the rx I'm using only has 4 slots. If I want to run the sidewinder, I need an extra slot.

ANyone ever wired a fan and a capacitor to the same rx lead?

I like the castle adjustability, but having the fan and capacitor and esc all taking up 3 esc slots is pretty stupid.

Do you use swaybars on your SC10?

In what track conditions?

That's what I have on my truck. I replaced the caps with the V2 caps and o-rings so I could build my shocks emulsion. Near as I can tell, the V2's are just easier to rebuild.

Ugh, this waiting is killing me, especially knowing that my new truck is 300 miles away in a postal center. Hopefully be at my door tomorrow so I can tear it out and break it in LOL. Speaking of which is there any particular way you are supposed to break these in?

Servo arm

I am putting a Savox servo in my Sc10. Which letter arm works on it? It is a Savox SC-0252MG.

Savox uses the futaba horn and no spacers

I am going to be placing an order for a new FT SC10. I am actually excited about purchasing this truck because this will be my first SC truck. So I was wondering if there any hop ups that are needed besides the aluminum rear hubs? Are people using the BB Losi springs on this truck, if so, what springs are being used?
