Just a thought as I know several have already tried a brace that went to the servo screws. What about lining up the mounting holes with the 3 posts that the top deck screws into? Just bust out a drill bit and go from the top of the chassis down through the posts out the bottom. Then you could just screw up into the posts and not have to use any extra hardware and from the top there is no evidence of holes in the chassis.

I tried a few variations but have not tried your idea.
I felt that the way it is now was the simplest and most effective way to do this.
I'm not trying to save on material as it is not expensive but I am trying to keep the part as small as possible yet keep it effective.

I am confident that I have proven that point as I am still racing with the same broken chassis and it has been over 3 weeks and trust me, it HAS been tested!

I do however appreciate and welcome ideas and if there is something you or anyone would like me to make to meet your request I will gladly give it a try, just let me know.

Thank all of you for your support and input, it is greatly appreciated.

the hubs will have alot of play in it.thats why you need the bigger hinge pins.without them they are way too sloppy.i wouldnt recomend running it like that you will never be able to tune the suspension with that much slop.

dgd ,

How is the Losi mod holding up for you?
Any breakage or bearing problems?

What you suggest looks good , I will try it tonight!

You can just paypal me at [email protected] and skip the ebay stuff.
Lot easier, it'll go out the same day, I'm dialed for mailing in minutes!
I gotta get back out and make a bunch more but there's always at least a couple ready.
Don't wait or you gotta lotta work to do.

And the LOSI hubs really are the ticket, easiest and of course hold up well.
I get to run a hotter motor since the handling has improved dramatically!
8.5 geared 19/87 and I get to give the trigger the full pull.
"No pull it no bullet".

Did you run the 1° or 2° hubs? I have both on the way...
