Started building last night. Steering Rack went together no problems (once I got the Bolt lined up right). Got to the Diff section - Bugger :flaming: only one 5x9.5 Outdrive Shim!

You can't even get the kit in Aus yet, let alone spare parts. Do AE or someone else make shims the same size for another kit, or will I have to buy the Diff Outdrive Rebuild Kit from the US?

I suppose it'll give me some time to work on the body.

you can, harris rc are selling the kits but are out of stock at the moment, new stuff due soon.. they are $295AU
as for the shims, look up on rchobbies or such...theres bound to be a listing for shims that will suit

You can substitute 1/8th scale clutch bell shims for the smaller shim. I have done this on my diff works perfect.

Well i installed 2deg xxx LOSI carriers on the rear with new hinge pins.
Here is a pic 2deg is on the right, It was a very simple mod the only thing you lose out on is the short to long wheel base adj. If some one wants the p/n to do the mod i can post them lmk.

I ordered the 1 degree Losi hubs and hinge pins, I'll be sure to post them up as soon as they arrive. Are your shock caps OG Gold units? :)

Also dug through the parts bin and found an old Losi body to use as a chassis cover. I also added some styrene shields to the front of the chassis. I'll post up pics tomorrow.

Yes crawler those are OG gold RC10 Shock caps, I have a very nice 10 that is a shelfer and have a few spare parts for it so i found it fitting to put on the gold ones.

Truck is done i will post pics of it with both sides done in a little bit.

Here is 2deg hubs on both sides, Will test tomorrow on my track and see how it reacts.

Ok, I'm almost finished with my SC10 build, pics coming soon after I finish. I just bolted on Cuda's front brace (thanks for such a sensical product Cuda! :)) which really strengthened up the front nose section of the chassis.

I'm a kit person, but I would've bought this just for the painted body (I'm a lousy painter of bodies). But honestly, looking at the "items needed" section, the use of "RTR" seems a little misleading. If you need a radio, battery, charger, motor, and ESC to make it run, it really should've just been labeled "Preassembled" rather then an "RTR".

"ARTR," Almost RTR would've been appropriate too...
