LOSA9808 is the 2deg hub.

Those hinge pins are titanium nitride coated, cost bout 6 bucks and are a little longer than necessary.
That's what I'm using and they work fine although there are some $2 Losi pins out there that are not coated and just a bit shorter but I don't know the number.
Another racer got em cuz the coated ones weren't available.
They measure out at 1/8" diameter x 1.250" long.
Now you should be able to find one or the other.

Are these hubs really neccesary? I am not using them in my setup, and my truck hooked up.

Here are the part #'s for the non- tinitrate hinge pins.

LOSA2164

1/8" x 1.250" lengths

My truck was impossible to drive when I got it and was using a 13.5, did several different tricks from the pros and rctech racers and never got it even close to hooked.
My track is a pretty hi bite clay based indoor setup.

Popped on the Losi hubs and it was so nice I dropped in an 8.5 and it works killer now.

What's your track like? 80 grit sandpaper with glue on it? That mite have hooked up my truck the way it was.

LOL!

No we are running on a 60x90 RCP track with carpeted jumps and such. I am also using a 13.5. When I set the truck up, I went off someones clay setup I found in this thread.

Ok, I'm almost finished with my SC10 build, pics coming soon after I finish. I just bolted on Cuda's front brace (thanks for such a sensical product Cuda! :)) which really strengthened up the front nose section of the chassis.

tom, great to meet you last nite and good to see you at the track today.
Glad you like the brace, few more people grabbed em up today at the track.
Looks like the word is gettin out and the response is all positive.

We even installed a couple for them!

Thanks for supportin you local F N CUDA. Very much appreciated!

OH YEH, JUST SAY NO TO EBAY HACKS TWEEKIN THE IDEA AND PIMPIN COPIES. :sneaky:

TELL EM YOU KNOW CUDA DID IT FIRST!

Keepin it simple and effective, been runnin it now on a broken chassis since the trucks first came out weeks ago.

Get yours and just worry bout drivin and not breakin.

Sorry Cuda, but I had to order one from your competitor on ebay. I liked the look with the aluminum skidplate built in to the brace.

Too bad for me I guess.

My feelin is simpler the better.

Maybe the extra weight hangin out front and up hi won't kill the handling but I don't think that's gonna be the case since they already jump nose heavy and are loose in the rear.

Good luck with it anyway and it does kinda look like the real bolt one on my Ranger pieces.

speshul 05-10-2009 10:59 PM

This guy says that it only weighs 1 oz. I don't think it will effect the handling too much since we are adding some weight to the front anyway.

Ok, I transferred my Mamba Max with 4600Kv into the SC10. What's a good gearing to start with? I have the kit's 87T spur in mine. I run on the same track as Cuda's. High-bite clay. I'm not a point and shoot kinda driver, I'm more of a coast into the turn and gun the throttle out of it...

On the subject of gearing, what is the transmission ratio of SC10s?

myrxseven 05-11-2009 06:21 AM

2.6
