I just finished the SC10 and it was a great build, my last electric car was the original RC10 so it's been a while. I'm a nitro guy but I couldn't resist this kit, my son has several electrics so we have plenty of high mAh six and seven cell NiMH packs to get me going. I'll eventually pick up some Lipos but hopefully 4200 packs will work. Any recommendations for gearing with a Castle Sidewinder 5700 combo would be appreciated.

congrats!

i run 16/87 with mine. should be good for yours too. Just watch temps as i cant drive longer than 10 min. at a time without it getting hot.

You may want to start with a 15.

I run a 16/87 with the 5700 setup. Keeps it about 150 at the track. Less on the pavement. And it'll fly with a li-po or 7cell about 45mph

ive had mine up to 220 before.....granted it was 105 outside and i ran it for the whole lipo 5900 35c pack..... LOL

it's just a test i done to see if i could fit my beadlock from my crawler to see the offset and they are way out of the body

for wheels i just got some proline split six beadlock to try them with proline switch tire have just test them a litle and it look way more controlable than with the org. tires and the litle weight that the bl. have seems to stabilize the rear a litle more

Does anybody know anything about this conversion to the 12mm hex ends being sold on ebay so you can run Traxxas Rims?

I was running Slash rears, just needed the Traxxas hexes and they bolted right up. For the fronts, I'm not sure what that kit is doing?

The SC10 bearings are in the wheels, the Slash are in the hub carrier.

And that kit is $1 cheaper on their website

The Slash rears are a different off set than the SC10 wheels. What is the track width when using slash wheels?

I eyeballed a friend track with these on it. It looked like about 1/4" wider.

Picking up an SC10 kit today. If I'm reading it right, sounds like I can just bolt a B4/T4 tranny w/ball diff into it as long as I use the T4 rear plate? Is that correct? Got a few spare transmissions and rear plates laying around.

Yup, your golden with a tranny and t-plate. Best thing I did to my sc10 was the ball diff.:sneaky:
