i had mine at the track yesterday.it was fun but i need way more rear traction.the rearend would come around when ever i applyed the throttle.i have plenty of steering.looking for more rear bit.i have the long rod set up 35 wt.oil green ,gold springs,30degree front blocks,17.5 and had the slipper way loose to to try and drive it.any ideas out there.

I saw 165 after a full 4200. Keep in mind I haven't had any traction yet.

Here is my SC10 with racers edge 1.5 rear hubs. This gives the truck a ton of forward bite:nod: .... I found out that the 1.5 hubs are no longer available but you can get 1.0 rear hubs.

I was having the same problem and now I can get on the throttle hard and fast in the groove with no fear of the truck swaping ends. It is also very managable out of the groove

Are you running the black grease or diff oil? I think the grease works better. I guess your running the stock tires? The J Concepts Goosebumps are the ticket right now. If your running outside the stock foams will work fine. If your running indoor you might want to go with a stiffer foam. I've said it before but these tires work very well. No traction problems at all and actually get body roll in big sweepers.

Way to much gear. Anything above 170 degree will start to thermal.

That motor has had that final drive ratio since it was new last October. First in my daughters T-3 than in her T-4. When they went spec 17.5 with the SC10 class I pulled it out of the T-4 and slapped it in the SC10, spur, pinion, and motor.

I came to that gearing little by little with her in the stock class so I am guessing I am close to what the other guys are running.

The hottest I have seen it is 165 after over 10 minuets. We run late afternoon evening and I have never raced it when the temp was over 80 degrees.

I run near that in my J82 all the time. A lot of the temp situation depends on how and where you drive. If you're a "roll-on/roll-off" guy, you can easily run more gear than a "brake/turn/punch" guy. They only really get hot when they're lugging or stalled. I can hand mine (that barely cracks 120-130) to someone else and have it be really hot in 2-3 minutes. It's all about the driver and the conditions.

I had guys at the nats last year running near 4.5 in a buggy and not thermaling...and one guy running 5.25 and thermaling...I run the thermalling motor in my truck at 5.75 and it never gets hot.

im running the black grease.and we CAN NOT use the goosebumps so those are outa the question.and yes the track is out doors.

Can you use Switch's?

You can try this. I have my slipper tight and still no problem with forward bite.

I still cant believe there arent any bolt on rear toe options available for the t4 or sc10.
