I have a defective rear shock in my kit, the bottom shaft hole is larger than the other 3 shocks and compared to the ones on my T4. It doesn't hold oil.
What I can't figure out is why won't AE just send me one? I called and was told I have to send in the defective one?? If this was an HPI kit, who I have called in the past to get defective replacement parts, they would just send one to me. This is a PITA.

Its because if they sent a shock to everyone that called, they would be sending out shocks by the thousands.

Your sending in a shock is proof that you actually have a defective one.

When I bought my b44, I sent in the first 5 front a-arms that I broke, before they changed over to the caputred hinge pin, and they replaced all 5 arms. I mailed them three front shock shafts, and they replaced all three shock shafts with the new ones, where the threads werent cut into the shaft so deep, and most recently (like this past week) after I stripped out one rear rim, I called, sent it in and in the mail, in less than a week, I recieved one pair of rear rims, and one pair of premounts, free.

They paid priority shipping from CA to FL.

Mail it in, as they requested, and you will get a new one.

Thank you all

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you that took the time to post on how to setup the SC10. Because of the information you provided I was not only able to get the back wheels to hook-up I actually have it pushing!

What's your setup and racing surface?

I'm building my SC10. Did anyone else find in the manual that the suggested turnbuckle length sizes are off? Especially the rear....

The fronts seem like I have too much negative camber.

If i'm not mistaken I think thats a error in the earlier manuals. Somewhere in the beginning of this thread they discuss that. My manual says 91mm rear and 84.2 front. I never used the baseline setting. Just set it up to your liking.

I just try to eyeball it then fine tune with the included camber gague.

new to SC10

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a RTR SC10 at our LHS I will be racing on a medium bite asphalt 50X120FT track with woode jumps here in San Diego CA, Can someone point me to the right set up I will be using 13.5 brushless with 6000 Mah 2s Lipo. I have some experience with the slash and it's time to move with the big dogs. Thanks in advance for the inputs.

Jconcepts

Does anybody know where to buy the Jconcepts Inner Body. I think I need one for the Dusty construction site bashing.

Sorry, I can't buy one direct from Jconcepts. Not paying USD$28- for postage to Australia. Any other options?

Cheers:deathstar

Try a gearing like 16/87 and watch your temps. If you need more traction in the front or rear, add weight accordingly. When your tires start to get bald they will give you better traction as well.

Right now I don't think they are in the stores. Tower nor amain has them in stock and a quick search doesn't give any good results back on the other online shops.

Check the "SC10 Gearing Thread". Lots of good info there, some with your setup.

For medium sized dirt tracks I am geared 27:75 when I throw a 13.5 in. Asphalt is more demanding but 16:87 is way too low. I would look at starting around 23:75 and check your temps after the first couple minutes.

If I buy 2 (one for a mate) postage comes down to $32 - (only $16- each.) Still a lot to pay for a bit of lexan with no details or mold lines in it, etc.
