I did the grease with the orgional tranny and it worked good, it was just a lot of work trying to get it just right. Thats a lot of repetitive assembly and disassembly. - phew.

Hi guys!!!
I ve owned a t4, a rustler and a e-firestorm and the sc10 is the most undriveable of alls, how can i make this car more easy to handle?
I think the new battery tray of carbon fibre will be a good upgrade cause it allows to move the battery near the motor and that gives you lot of more traction, FUCK ae they could release the car with a plastic battery tray like this in the beggining. Nothing to say about the crappy wheels, just stripped one in a couple of batterys, ae knows how to do bussiness, all of us buying some new rims, at least they are cheap.
Can anyone tell me how i recognise which are the new wheels that doesnt strip so easy, need to order somes and i cant send it back to ae cause im not in the usa and will be more expensive the collar than the dog.

What I did was I bought the racers edge 1 degree rear hub, the one thing that stands out with this hub over others is that the ball stud is mounted into the top of the hub instead of on the side.I added about 3mm of washers under the ball stud to raise the camber link. This allows the truck to roll more giving it more rear traction, also I moved the ball stud to the outer position using the longer link set up. This alone has improved my trucks overall performance with the addition of m2 bow ties. Hope this helps, just my .02 something else to try.

darn dirty

Just got my SC10 out to the track, bit of wet clay... man what a mess. I have to do something to protect at least the ko receiver at a minimum, but would be nice to make cleanup easier.

I'm looking at either adding a RC10GT receiver box, or the JConcepts over tray. Is the tray a pain? Think there would be any issues running with the tray in a stock class?

Any other thoughts on how to keep this thing clean?

I wouldnt see why it would be an issue? You are just tring to protect your your gear. And they make a J Concept cover for a Slash also if you think that is the problem

To fit the SC10 gearbox in a T4 you also need to change to the SC10 rear chassis plate.

Does anyone know the part numbers of teh items needed to change from teh gear to ball diff? If so, could you please list them?

Thanks

Read back a few pages. everything you need to know about this truck is right here.

I'll post up all the parts u need to buy for the tranny when I get back from vacation. Basically just ge your self a complete t4 tranny and then I could always swap back if needed.

I'm running the same hubs and they are a nice upgrade for sure. Rear traction is insane.

Since it has a sealed diff, can you use 1/8 diff lube in it, I have soom 1,000 wt from a different project.

OG RC 10T 09-08-2009 05:48 AM

Its sealed, so you can put anything you want in there really:lol:

AE black grease works very well and is easy to work with.

First off I don't think the foul language is necessary. The wheels aren't an issue if you don't overtighten the wheel nut in the beginning which strips the nylon and you make sure you line up the pin correctly. Ae has done this for years with no problems. The hinged battery strap works very well and also supports the chassis. The carbon fiber will allow the chassis to flex. If your such a hater of AE maybe you should go back to your well handling Rustler or even a Slash. J Concepts makes a harder plastic rim for the SC10. Maybe you should try them. I've had one of the first SC10s and have never stripped a wheel or had traction problems but I also don't run the AE tires. Goosebumps are the ticket.
