Hey everyone, I'm new to this thread. I'm ordering the Scte today, I've done some research and this seemed to be the best truck out there winning races right now and i love the 1/8th scale chassis. I have a setup going into the truck and I want to get everyones advice.

Setup as follows-

-Mamba Max Pro

-Castle 2400kv, 3800kv, 4800kv. I have all 3 motors But my plans are the 2400kv for the extra torque it has over the other two motors.

-HPI 2.4ghz Transmitter/Reciever

- Servo???? Im not sure on servo's never bought one before But im thinking of going with Savox. Can someone point me in the right dirrection I have a $65.00 cap on Servo.

Upgrades- Carbon Front/Rear Shock towers.

- Aluminum Shock Caps so I can run them emulsion style

-Different Springs Front/Rear

- I have 35wt. Losi shock oil laying around is that to low a weight to use?

Thanks, I'll see how it goes tonight.

Salad, I'm not sure which is worse, the hideous cory hart bogus tattoo paint scheme, or the wing.

Just looking for honest opinion on pros and cons for both if you've ran both?

Thank you

I have both and race both. I turn my fastest laps with the AE but it is modified quite a bit from kit form. Unfortunatley the racers at my home track drive very rough and most of them run SCTEs. I got tired of being literally knocked off the track by the almost two pound heavier SCTEs so I bought one. Out of the box it is very easy to drive but becasue its heavy it can't carry the corner speed or jump as far as the AE. So if I manage to run and qualify well so that I can start up front for a race I'll run the AE. If I'm stuck back in the pack I'll bring out the Losi and give as good as I get.

Both have proven to be very heavy duty. The only DNFs that I can remember for either truck were electrical issues.

Does how thick and rigid the body is affect the handling of the truck. I just got my scte and I bought a desert rat carnage body also and the truck seems to lose the rear in the turns easier and nose dive with the carnage body.

It could by changing weight bias depending on how its designed and where the body is thicker or thinner .

That Carnage body is going to be different from a regular body because of the separate pieces and the velcro used to mount them .

On the diff build video. For the Ten Diffs LEAVE IN THE WASHER ON THE O-RING. The 8ight diffs you can get away with not running that thin washer but the TEN diffs hold up better with them.

We have started to slot our bodies a little to make sure they don't restrict chassis flex and are liking this little change so yeah I would say having a stiffer body can effect performance if not just slightly. Different bodies will produce different downforce as well if you have a high speed track.

Whats everyone have for Servo's in their SCTE's, Should I get one for speed or my torque? And would I have issues with my BEC I have a mamba max pro ESC and 2400/3800kv motor i plan on run?

I may possibly buy the Savox Nitro, I found the spec's would this work good to make this truck steer?

Specifications:

Speed @ 6.0V: 0.08 sec/60°
Torque @ 6.0V: 166 oz-in / 12 kg-cm
Weight: 52.4g
Bearing: Dual
Type: Standard
Gear: Titanium and Aluminum
Case: Aluminum Heatsink
Output Shaft: 25T Spline (Futaba)
Case Size (LxWxH): 40.3x20x37.2mm

Anyways I just bought my SCTE for $299.99 shipped no Tax should be here 2-4 days I cant wait, I currently run a E-firestorm stadium truck and it the current setup is good for 65mph I've hit 70 with it on road.

That servo will work decent , I like a little more torque but 166 is enough and its definitely fast enough .
