yeah I guess it was a bit of tweakage on my part, the lexan will prob be more trouble than its worth. It's gone now, and I will run the holes open.
Thanks guys.

It's a good idea and makes sense. When I tested this the threshhold on the spur and chassis is really close (few mm's) and dirt was more prone to stay around the spur than fall out the bottom when open. I have yet to replace a spur from the chassis holes. Never had an issue with it covered either but did notice more dirt.

Another good option if you did want to cover the holes is a DE skid plate or use one from a SCRT10.

I know you have some experience with the 1410, how does this motor compare? What esc would you compare the viper to? RX8, RC8, MMP?

Good for you BMain! It's good to be wanted. It's good to have money to contribute to the economy too.

The 3900kv tester I have is the same size as the 1410 (length/diameter), it's a little quicker but not by much. That's the 3mm option which will work in the 4wd's also but will also work in 2wd's.

Now the VX4R's are 540L, same diameter as the 540's just longer than a normal 540 and a 5mm shaft. No sensor unit means longer stator and longer rotor magnet = more power than a 540 4 pole.

I would compare the Copperhead to the SC8/MMP group. However it's all aluminum and has a beefy feeling like the VTX's. So it doesn't feel cheap, even if the price says otherwise.

What would be the best bearing oil to use on my TEN ?
I have a few that are making a lot of noise and two that came apart. in the rear trans case shaft. I clean,. I have been using bearing grease trying to pack it in. But I think its time to get some good oil.. or just keep buying bearings. any ideas on what you pros use on motors and the like ??? Thanks in advance

Have not personally used this, but I have heard good things about this oil from Acer oils. If they are squealing though I would for sure replace them first, than oil but that is just me.
