Its funny. You Novarossi guys turns to RB2045 pipe (2096) and the top RB drivers prefer RB2097 which looks like a 9901. Don't know if 2097 and 9901 are similar in performance though

What the pipe looks like on the outside is only a small part of the story Bjarne

Rb engines need help in the torque dept. , it might be more like a efra legal 9853 ?

On behalf of a friend...Is a Bonito too much for a buggy? What is the best Nova motor for a buggy? $ is not a factor.

imo the bonito is better suited for a buggy than a truggy but you gotta really fight the powerband in the midrange allllll the way to the moon , it van be a major handful

overpowering your buggy leads to slower laptimes

+4, X3,x5 much better suited for buggy

Sometimes people say things that are confusing, isn't it?

It has to do with the way the powerband is on the engine

i am not a fan of the bonito really

it is a great italian built mill but i have never been a fan of engine designs that were derived from onroad engines adapted to offroad applications no matter who puts it out

plus 2 367 / toro nero / bonito all derived from the same design , i've seen and played with all of them

i like my engines to actually have a certain feel , useable power in the right areas , like lots of low end , not a powerband that requires you to think about how you gotta drive the car to keep the powerband at a certain point in order for it to feel like you have what you need as far as power

i will tell you the honest truth no matter , i am not a salesman , making money off of racers is not my first priority then keepin the racer happy so they will buy from me only , it does not hurt my feelings when racers want to try other engines , more experience for the racers the better imo

happy motorin',
Monty

Losi's buggy is good if you like Losi. The Hara D8 if you are on a budget. Money is not a issue MP9. I just started running the RC8.2 and like it so far. As for a engine Novarossi plus 4, P5, BTT or Fusion X3L and X7.

Hey Chuck, Fusion motors have been very good to me this season. Houston's X3LX was a great motor and plan on trying his X5 next season. Helps when the man himself races with u and can help u out. (Thanks Monty)

Just switched to a TKI3 at Racetoberfest and all i can say is WOW. No more trying to find a good setup that is fast and easy to drive. MBX6R is now just a dust collector.

If u want i can bring both over and u can give them a whirl and i can check out the facility.
