Monty have you tried the heavy buku shoes with a truggy? Brian sent me out new shoes and he included a heavy set to boot. I am leary of putting it on the X3 as the pit guy sucks and splashes fuel everywhere so I am thinking putting the heavies on the bonitto and seeing what it does in truggy. Also how would the heavier shoes affect the x3? Should be like putting a heavier flywheel and just reduce wheel spin if there is any right?

Well I've been reading this thread for quite some time now, and I'm itching to get me a novarossi for my Xb9 buggy. I've been looking at the keep off 21-4. What would be a good pipe and header combo for this motor. I'm just looking for good power and economy. Please give me some ideas.

I have the same buggy and I have ran the engine you want to get (a friend let me try it out in his xb9) and I have to say it was nice but..... my friend and I love my X3LFM better (he tried my xb9 out) Try a fusion engine it has all the same parts the high end Novarossi engines have but with half the price in most cases. You won't be disappointed, also if you really want your Novarossi engine Monty can hook you up with that and a pipe as well.

I am looking to get fusion x7 for my losi 8 and was just wondering how good this engine would be, I am just after brute power both torque and hp, would this 7 port engine have enough torque to pull my buggy around?

Houston what is the stock needle settings on a +4c team engine? Also what do you recommend as a good starting point on the needles? I got this engine from a friend for $20 because it was not running right so I thought it might have lost pinch but I took the head off and it still sticks at the top so I'm thinking bad tune all together or maybe the front bearing. He would tune it then about a half tank later it would start bogging down and loosing power like a lean bog.
By the way I recommended he get the x3 race and he said its running great.

What are some methods of setting the idle gap correctly? I don't have any small gauges or anything like that.
