The vanilla x3l does not need a mod to outrun a btt. The btt is great for low end btt the lightning and the fm have Alot more mid and top end. I have not run a fm yet but as i have been told its a beast. Im going to special order an engine from money here soon so Im going to have a blast.

I have a BTT and it just isn't enough, especially on top. I have have read from many sources that that the modded btt fixes the power and also improves or at least maintains the good mileage. I'm just curious about the differences with the 3 port of the fusion. I think my next engine will be between these two.

2096/021, Speed Blend 30% (have run Byrons too), currently in Xray XB9 but I had Kyosho TKI3 before that....
I have tried all of the venturies too.
Don't get me wrong, it is a great engine but some of the tracks I go to I am more comfortable with my other engines that produce a bit more power (speed and A852). I am really looking to next season and I am trying to narrow it down to 1 brand.

The ultra low heads read hottt , 290F isnt out of the ordinary , i am not a big fan of them but thats what novarossi has decided on
Hmmmm the os speed and plus4 btt are pretty comparable but the a852 has an almost undriveable powefband , not the best buggy engine but to each his/her own ,

The A852 is a lutz edition and I had it modded to smooth out the power, it's not any faster than the speed, has a tad more bottom end but it is really smooth. Just doesn't get good enough mileage for bigger events.
I have had it in the 290s, consistently in the 280s.
How does he x3 compare to the BTT with the fuel mileage?

Monty must have done something really special with my btt because it sings with the 2096/41021 combo in my 8.2 and reads about 245 on the head when I check it. I know I can lean it out a little more but it has plenty of rip for my track as it is right now.
BTW...Nova power through a Buku clutch = awesome!
