you can use the prostock (comes in black or blue) and the 323 program. this esc is made for boosted 17.5 class. the gt2.0 works just as good too.

almost all manufactures give kv ratings for their motors trinity/epic, lrp, tekin, orion, novak, hacker, speedpassion,etc.... the only company that i know of that doesn't give a list is thunder power...

if you are running super stock or boosted class then yes it's recommended. if it's stock class no boost any speedo will do, as there is no boost. if you wanna keep up i suggest a trinity epic duo 3...
