Default Team Wave Vs Tekin RS Vs HW Xtreme Stock

Im on a small budget and need a cheap ESC that allows for turbo/boost to run in 21.5 TC class.

the 3 that seem to be in my price range are the:
Team Wave
Tekin RS
HW Xtreme Stock

What one is best or is there one I have over looked

The motor I am looking at running is the DUO3 or SpeedPassion

Any help is great thanks

Team Wave are a fail, seen many turn into a bbq. Dont think there is any support for them anymore.

Have both Tekin and Hobbywing both will do the job for you, Tekin is very grunty and aggressive Hobbywing very smooth and steady.

LRP, Speed Passion and Orion (Hobbywing base) also, Hobbywing is more than likely cheaper than the others and very good easy to follow set up (and plenty recommendation on this forum)

I have the same set up as you ,
duo 3

tekin rs
team wave
and a standard hobbywing 60a and this my expecnices with that motor on those esc

tekin = little bit soft in the bottom, but great mid to top end and runs cool, didnt adjust the settings or the gear, but there is some more to had .

hobbwing= spend alot of time with settings but cant not get the pace without getting the heat, runs strong but very hot, get the temps down and lose all the speed, given up on it ..

team wave= excellent grunt and good speed , with good temps ,
the first night using it i set the new track and lap record .
this is now by preferred esc,
its a rb30 flashed with the rb-s 2.10e firmware
and i had its since they first come out , quite a few years ago now.

i have used teamwave few times, all i can say is its waste of money and stay far away from it. it cooked 2 of my motors. worst esc i've ever used

i've been used tekin for over a year and its reliable and offer good customer support.

I have teamwave ESCs and I am using them with success. They are in pair with HW, Tekin for me. My lap time not changed at all when I moved from Tekin RS Pro to Teamwave RB-S. And not changed when I moved back from RB-S to Tekin either. So I sold Tekin and now use RB-S... Also bought RB-30 for spare ESC... Have HW 120A, but this one will be for WGT 1S racing...

BTW, I am not a good racer so take my comments with easy.

You can also try mamba max pro (about $125) or the speedpassion prostock (only comes in blue or black) for around the same price and both are very good.
