Using an IBM Thinkpad running XP SP3.

Here is what I did-
-Downloaded the latest software from the SP site.
-Once downloaded, ran the USB software- (Windows msg about finding new hardware, tried both cancel and trying to install from the software downloaded)
-Followed the manual instructions
-When I initially connected it, I would see the ESC light up, but later, no lights. I would get 2 dash lines on the LED box.

I did try checking the settings using the box alone, and was able to make changes to the basic settings, but I really need the Software to make other changes. Not sure where to do from here.

I have uninstalled and re-installed a couple times. No Difference.

Is your programmer box updated also? Are you running a fan and is it unplugged?

I hadn't tried w/o the fan, (though I just did, and nothing) I did see the box recognize.

I'll see if it will let me update the firmware.

**UPDATE**

Not sure what did it, if resetting the box was what caused it or what, but i was able to get into the program. Can't wait to get this into my Drifter.

I'll know what to do once I get my R-Pro version hopefully in a few weeks or so.

Thanks Nex!

Curious, what every happened to this ESC? Looked pretty good. No mention on SP's site anymore on it but there is historic info on it.

I think that is a 2.0 pro with a big fan and heat sink.

Momo,

Sounds great. It's a good thing to make sure you always update your PC software and the programmer box. Especially if your ESC and programmer are new out of the box.

Enjoy

Make sure that your brake endpoint are turned up as high as the radio will allow. (some go up to 150%) and then recalibrate the throttle

The R brakes are rubbish. Pro brakes on Mod2 are amazing. We using need Mod2 for the R. Be interested if you find them better at 150 percent

Not sure what is going on but out of the three R's that I have run they all had solid brakes. What's your init brake force and braking percent set to? I recently moved to the Rev pro and to be honest the pros brakes feel softer to me than the R did.

That is true on the brakes. I am going back to the gt2.0 in all my rides.

I had one my Rev Pro's go "poof" at the track today. It let the magic smoke loose. Turned on radio, plugged in pack, turned on esc. Gave it a few blurps on the throttle. Seemed fine. Set it on the track and nothing. Then it smoked a bit as I walked up to it.

Looks like something on the board in the bottom corner burned out. You cna tell cause the bottom case is clear blue.

So looks like I'll need to send another in. Wonder if this will be covered?

Hello, I'm new here and only recently started with RC. I'm from Belgium so anny spelling errors are what they are.

I got a Speed Passion Critix Stock ESC (12280) and V3.0 13.5R Motor (138135V3) and have some problems with it.

When I connect the ESC with the motor without the sensor lead, the motor runs but it stalls/cogs when I throttle up. Once it's running it doesn't exactly impress me but that's another matter.

Once I connect the sensor lead, it runs for a few seconds, runs very loud and uneven then simply stops working untill I unplug the sensor lead again.

It's the first time I use a brushless system and I have no other motor/ESC or sensor lead to test annything.

If you could point me in the right direction where to look, it would be appreciated.
