Hideeho
I installed a new reventon r in my b4 today. I'm coming from running a Tekin rs pro. I always thought the rs pro was smooth when I wasn't running boost. I was wrong. The r is ridiculously smooth coming out of the corners. The rs pro is like a sledge hammer while the reventon is a 2 ton hydrolic press. The brake system is also smoother & more effective. The basic setup I did on the reventon was the same I set on the rs pro, blinky mode, 60% brakes, 0 drag brake, lots of timing on the can, but I swear I was going quite a bit faster at the end of the straight (I over shot my lift point the 1st 2 laps:blush:). The rs pro was switched into my b44. While I want to spend some more quality time playing with the settings, I can very easily see trading or selling the rs pro to get a reventon pro for the b44 in the near future.

However, I did see this when searching for blaze:

Curious as to what about the motor is different than the old 550ish Silver Arrow V2 motors other than Kv?

Price doesn't look bad though, wonder what other Kv options there will be?

Here is a photo of it, SP Blaze 2450kv vs. a Tekin 1900kv , both 1/8 motors.

Regards

Yes I can set the speedo settings, but no matter what I do it's just slow. Started with a 20t pinion in a buggy and went up 2 teeth at a time up to 30 and now will need to grind to get more gear on it and it gets better with more gear but I don't think it should have that much with timing all the way up to 26 and a 7.5? Ill try and reinstall the software the way you described and try that. Thanks

This weekend I ran my 4wd buggy with Reventon Pro/Competition V3 7.5 with MOD2 and 26 degrees without issue. The motor and ESC both came off at about 150 degrees after 6 minutes without fans.

That darn near looks like a truggy length can. The motor shaft seems short too.

If anybody needs a competition SP 6.5 v3 ...check in f/s.

The 4600kv and 5700kv motors above are the new 4x4 version 2 poles SCT 540L motor...

The 1900/2100/2400 BLAZE will be the 1/8th sensorless motor..

Then there will be the 2450 and 2750kv sensored motor, all 5 are for 1/8th use....probably good for all cars except Durango or Serpent when they have to mount the motor up front.

how do go about returning something threw the website for repair. I was getting help threw pm's on here but that stopped once they said i need a RMA number and included someone else in the pm's.

its a faulty bluetooth module.

G'day guys,

Been eyeing off the speed passion reventon s esc with 17.5t motor for stock racing on a budget. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on these motors/escs before I go ahead and make the purchase. My apologies if this has been asked elsewhere. Thanks guys

What are the dimensions of the new 2 Pole SCT motors.

Same question on the 1/8 motor.

Will there be a sensored motor in a lower Kv range? On 4S, its more common to use motors in the 1900 - 2200 Kv range.

Is anyone running the MMM in a 17.5 SC? What rotors and sensor boards are you running?

I plan on getting the 12.5mm rotor and the +20 sensor board to get to the same range of timing that I run with my other 17.5s. Is this a good idea?

They are virtually the same size as any 550 length can you can get. I can take pics if need be...

Some are running anywhere from 20-40 degrees of timing. 30 degrees is where i'd start in an sc10...

In a stock application the reventon S would be just fine. I would say, for the couple extra bucks get the R. Just in case you want to be able to run mod...

ALIEN3T 03-05-2013 09:40 PM

as what 07Forester said. The r will have boost, Can run blinky stock and be race legal. But then a quick change for a play day. and lay in boost mode without changing motor.

R has a 5.5 motor limit, so you should be good for almost any motor in off road. Worth paying a few extra bucks now. than later realizing you want to run mod and have to buy a new ESC.

What do I need to do to put the pro in blinky mode?
