I have four pro's loaded stock on one and ran with 17.5 NP.
I saw a video on you tube that showed that stock was on the ESC already. not mine. Any one have stock on there Pro from factory?

Nope all Pro's come preloaded with Modified software. If a Pro had Stock on it, then it was not new.

Depends on how good the driver is and what the track is like. I race at island raceway once in a wile. with the way the track is I am just as fast in 2wd buggy with a 8.5 and a 17.5 blinky track is 110 x 40 wet clay we race on bald tires or I use panther slicks. the fast local guys run 7.5 8.5 9.5 10.5 threw the A main all are fast some can run a 17.9 lap I ran a 19.1 lap in 17.5 2wd buggy Sunday. Sometimes slow is fast.:) Speed passion is very smooth.

all of mine came with mod I bout all new. there is some BS video on Youtube saying they come stock I don't think Speed passion made the video. some dumb ass must have mad it. the only reason I found the video is I got a new laptop with windows 8 and had to find out how to get the download to work and found that video in my search. It confused me for a minute.

Nick,

I ran the Reventon pro and the mmm 7.5 at leisure this past weekend. 7.5 or 8.5 would be awesome at trackside. 10.5 with boost would be great as well..

Anyone know why 2200 e buggy motors have been out of stock since biblical times?

Poof went my Reventon PRO's

Loosing faith in the quality.. wish i had stuck with the GT series..

First one acted funny with some strange power hesitations then a smell so i sent it back before it failed. Total time on ESC 8 packs. Ran in blinky mode with a 7.5 in 2wd buggy. Low timing running cool..

Second one ran one heat. Switched on for second heat and smoke then fire before i even got it to the track..

Both had latest firmware and Blinky stock software loaded. Ran exact same setup with zero issues running the LPF...

Really hope speed passion replaces them fast.... Long time SP user and fan really disappointed.

My LHS has a pile of "reventon" series ESC ready to go back to SP.. DOA and low milage failures. So I know im not alone.

That sucks. The only time in four years i had them go is when i pug them in backward hard POFF! all my falt:cry: did two like that.

Honestly i wish it was something like that.. At least i would 100% know why it happened. And not be questioning the product or worrying when or if its going to fail... IF you reverse an ESC you smash your head on the pit table and never do it again.. you learn from the mistake. LOL

Crossing fingers SP takes care of me quickly... Luckily i got a GT2LPF loaner in the mean time..

07Forester 03-07-2013 09:03 PM

Being at a track that has a LOT of speed passion drivers, i've yet to come across someone to blow up a reventon pro, minus the guy who ran a 550 4pole....boosted to the moon.

:knocks on wood that the 5 i just ordered are a o-k:

Hey Joel,

If you use a mod motor you need to run mod software, not stock. In the future just run zero timing and you'll be in blinky.

I run stock1 with boost, etc in my 4wd buggy with a 6.5. It doesn't make the slightest bit of issue what profile he's in....
