as I said before, My 22 came with the gt 2.0 pro. How does this esc compare to say the tekin rs series? Also it came with a hobbywing programmer box, looks to be the same as the sp one looking at the pics. I tired connecting it to the esc but it wont go pass the screen that says connecting esc? Do I need to download software to my laptop or does the box do it all. Also running a tekin 10.5 motor, could someone post all the setting Im roughly should be at? Thanks

D/L the latest software (v1.38) here.. http://www.speedpassion.net/en/produ...802PROcb&c=ESC Update the LCD first...after that leave it plugged to your laptop and hookup your speedo...should be fine. Load/adjust whatever program you want to use on the speedo. |
I believe you need to have the ESC powered via the battery as well from what I recall. You can just power it from the LCD box and the PC.
Confirm with a manual first however, but at least that is what I have to do with my HW box and the SP ESCs from what I recall. As for performance compared to a Tekin, after owning SP, Tekin, and Castle products, I keep coming back to SP stuff as I love the interface, the performance, and the robustness of the GT2.0 Pro series of ESCs. And I am a big warranty fan which is why I also love castles 1 year warranty, but man, the SP GT2.0 Pros are killer ESCs. |
so download 110323? So for the newb questions, all I ever have run is a tekin rx8 lol

ok I found the v1.38 software. Downloaded it but I get a error when trying to open it. Error 2048 say not a file quicktime understands???

Allow me to answer...
The reason MMM was not widely used becasue the motor turn of MMM is design for ON ROAD USE...that does not mean the MOTOR is not capable to be used on off road. MMM 17.5 along with the silver red rotor is heavily used on blinky class in off road such as SCT and buggy. If you are running it on buggy in MOD....V3 is the better choice because the 7.5 and 8.5 motor can does not have the vent holes like the other turn. They are heavily used for MOD buggy....and with the boost software, they are more then enough power for any track. MMM is more fit for the blinky mode with 17.5 or 13.5 depends on your country's spec.........if you are running it on 13.5 or 17.5 or 21.5..MMM is your better choice. Otherwise, V3 is still the big off road favor. 13.5t MMM ordered. |
Anyone run the reventon r in a 4wd buggy with a 9.5?
|
Also can anyone recommend gearing in a b4.1 with a 17.5 v3?

For Reventon Series: Big no, never connect a battery to the ESC when connecting to the computer. Only need to unplug the fan during connection. For Cirtix Series: No, Same thing unplug the fan. For 17.5 aroung 75/30 is a good place to start in blinky and gear accordingly after that |
Are the Reventon Pros ever going be in stock in US wharehouse? Or should I just buy them from overseas and forget about it?

From what my drivers told me, they were never use 205g anymore because it is slow.....they are all running 428STOCK with boost and supercharger along with the 4x4 used motor. I have seen some using it on NOVAK and some on TEKIN (but I have not seen that in person)....some of the drivers are running the prototype Speed Passion BLAZE 4x4 SCT motor and actually they are using it at the up coming Futaba Race that host at Leisure Hour Raceway this weekend.
The BLAZE should be release around end of August.....as well as the 1/8th version of the BLAZE motor. |
