The 1900/2100/2400 BLAZE will be the 1/8th sensorless motor..

Then there will be the 2450 and 2750kv sensored motor, all 5 are for 1/8th use....probably good for all cars except Durango or Serpent when they have to mount the motor up front.

Are the 4600 and 5700 Blaze motors and r combos sensored?
Do they come in more kv ratings?
I need motors for a Tekno 410 4x4 for indoor med sise track and large out door track. i plan on using Nosram 6900 or 6700 100C batterys packs unless speed passion or speed power has somthing better for me to use. Please let me know thanks.:)

Is anyone running the MMM in a 17.5 SC? What rotors and sensor boards are you running?

I plan on getting the 12.5mm rotor and the +20 sensor board to get to the same range of timing that I run with my other 17.5s. Is this a good idea?

I think that is not a bad starting point personally. Running that setup you mentioned on my RC10B4 worked good enough to TQ and win the mod class here, 2wd electric which is a mixture of Buggies and stadium trucks.

The 4600Kv if its anything similar Kv wise to the Tekin I am using right now should work fine. I run on a 50 x 50 small track and had plenty of gearing range on my Tekno SCT410.

From what I have heard, at least from Reedy motor perspective, seems a bit more Kv is used to get a similar feel to a Pro4 style motor. So gearing wise, I think you will be A-ok with the 4600 unless there is something really different about the blaze motors (ie- they run hotter and like lower gearing, etc)

What do I need to do to put the pro in blinky mode?

I'm not 100% sure this is right, as I've only done it once, but you need to hook the esc and programmer up to PC and run the Reventon software. You then need to change the esc to stock "0" firmware( i think that's the one that gets you blinky)

after it reboots, you should be good to go!

So anyone know if the speed passion blaze motors are sensored? and has anyone used them yet?

I ran the 5700kv this weekend at the 2013 Chitown Shootout in my Losi/MIP SCTE. It's sensored and it's a beast.

The qualifiers were 6 minutes long and on the last lap of the first round, I could feel it was about to hit cutoff with 5900 65c batteries. I hooked the programmer up to find it set to 3.4/cell for the cutoff, lowered to 3.0 and had no issues the rest of the weekend.

I come from a RX8/Tenshock 5200 combo and this combo is 1000x better. It's way more smooth, the power actually gets put down, and the lower temps are great.

If it were me personally, I wouldn't be concerned with that battery. The track I was at had a huge straight away which allowed WOT (mah burnin') for a good distance. I'd say with practice laps included, I was running for about 7-7:30 minutes total and would end up throwing 3400-3700mah into the pack on the charger.

Whats the best motor and esc combo to run in a SC10 2wd in Mod SCT class?

Cain 03-06-2013 04:32 PM

I would probably give an 8.5 or 10.5 a look, depending on track setup of course.

8.5 to me is the best all arround mod motor to me.

ctsieber 03-06-2013 05:40 PM

I loaded stock software on my reventon pro. Ran 1 heat race and then the motor wouldn't run. Changed esc and the motor worked fine. Has anyone else run into this?

I ordered the SP 5700kv combo there were no motors in stock so combo was the only way to get it. if I don't like it I am going to try a thunder power 550 5.5
